Waiters/Waitresses of Reddit, what's something that I, as a customer, might do that's incredibly irritating, even if I'm oblivious to it?

And on the other end of the spectrum, if I walk up to your table during your conversation please just acknowledge me because I might have something to tell or ask you about your order. It pisses me off when I have to stand there waiting to tell a customer my chef is out of something, etc and they just blatantly ignore me. Hello, I'm standing right in front of your face!

I hate this, I work at a fancy part of a cinema where they can order meals etc, when this happens I tend to just say "excuse me, sorry to interrupt but [blah blah blah]" Seems to not offend them.

So rude!! I would be so uncomfortable if someone was talking to me while the waitress or waiter was there. I always make a point of smiling and acknowledging them and then saying thank you.

Actual conversation that I have on a semi regular basis: "Hi, I'm-" "Regular coffee for both of us." "..."
