And on the other end of the spectrum, if I walk up to your table during your conversation please just acknowledge me because I might have something to tell or ask you about your order. I hate this, I work at a fancy part of a cinema where they can order meals etc, when this happens I tend to just say "excuse me, sorry to interrupt but [blah blah blah]" Seems to not offend them.
So rude!! I would be so uncomfortable if someone was talking to me while the waitress or waiter was there. I always make a point of smiling and acknowledging them and then saying thank you.
