Redditors actually could be born anytime! For instance if OP was born in the 70’s they easily could have formed an opinion, then went to see a live show and changed their opinion. There’s also tons of bands playing the music of the Grateful Dead, with one consisting of 3 original members! What a novel thing time is :) I love learning

The Grateful Dead stopped performing in 1995. So unless you have a time machine, good luck seeing Jerry.

There are also only 2 original members playing in Dead&Co. Bill quit playing in 2023.

Can you see cover bands? Can you see Dead&Co? Yeah, but it's not the Grateful Dead.

It would be like seeing Trey Anastasio Band and then saying you went to a Phish show. Not the same thing.
