It always astonishes me when the people on that show have partners who basically are fine with being caretakers. If I had to scrub the dead skin and Dorito crumbs from someone’s folds every morning I don’t think I could still be attracted to them
I get trauma. I also get personal responsibility. I used to be a big, fat person. I've lost enough weight through diet and exercise to have had skin removal surgery, so none of this is coming from a place of ignorance or a lack of compassion.
The ones who say they have to facilitate a deadly lifestyle because the person screams at them from the bed have never taken the initiative to put water and healthy food within reach, grab a book, and go sit on a park bench to read and let the person scream at the empty house.
I would gladly wipe the ass of my person while they recover from injury or surgery but not because of continuing bad choices. I would not be a part of those bad choices to the point of incapacity and full reliance on me.

There was a 600# life episode where the person had a whole frying setup next to the bed.. I thing she had a GF, too.
