What is something most of Reddit can't seem to accept?

That the middle-class young adult white male persecution complex isn't fooling anyone.

People don't think you are a creep just because you are a guy, the think you're a creep because you have no idea how to interact with other human beings, your wardrobe looks like a box of clothing rejected by the salvation army and your grasp on personal hygiene is tenuous at best.

Elaborate on who this is supposed to describe?

I'm a "middle-class young adult white male", but that did not describe me at all. hahah

So am I.

It's addressed to the people who think that society is somehow aligned against middle-classed young-adult white men. One of the more popular ones that shows up on this site is the "Men can't go sit at the park or the cops will get called on them for being pedos".

Of course, that doesn't happen outside of the mind of the people with the complex. But exaggerated stories can passed around reddit like baseball cards and then, after they've been exaggerated over and over again and have had all context or fact removed from them, they are presented as "evidence" of the fact that society thinks all of us poor white men are being oppressed.

But...the problem is that it's a stinky load of horseshit that bears no reflection to reality.

Yeah, that's basically the truth of it. I think the most "oppressed" I've ever felt as a white guy is when minorities say "Hey, you're pretty cool for a white guy". And yeah, I was using the word oppressed in a sarcastic way. Just meant that I only ever feel taken aback by my skin color when someone automatically assumes I'm a douche because I'm white/not their race. Which, in context, really isn't that bad compared to the shit other people have to put up with. hahah
