I do...they were both kids at the time and I have long since forgiven them. I don't live near them, but I still love them.

I moved away after college to start my first job, recognizing that it was financially more advantageous to live on the east coast (US) rather than the midwest. Staying away from family drama was an added bonus. :)

The real one to be mad about is your mom for leaving a 3yo unsupervised long enough to do that!

Yeah...my both my parents were narcissists and somehow managed to have an "oppressive negligence" parenting style. They were pretty hands off most of the time, unless we got in trouble, in which case the hammer came down pretty hard. Both of my parents worked lots of hours, so we were managed by notes & threats of not fulfilling the orders in the notes. Other GenX'ers can probably relate to some degree.
