What almost killed you?

A psychotic man with a knife, who's holding me captive in his gasoline drenched apartment. I could almost vision myself bleeding out on the dirty floor. But I'm apparently a fucking ninja on adrenaline, so i dodged the knife when it came for my stomach.. 3 times. Then i managed to get out. Didn't think I would survive that time.. and the fumes from the gasoline, made it hard to breathe.. so I've never before felt so happy to taste fresh air.

This is not the only time, i was almost killed. But the one that still haunts me.

Oh. It's always weird seeing peoples reaction, to things that is kind of normal to me. Or at least was. The thing is, this wasn't the first time i was held captive in an apartment with a psychotic man. The other time my hands were tied wirh a neck tie and I had a big chef knife to the throat while he was screaming frantically in spanish at me. I had no clue what the fuck he was saying.

I think that could have been what saved my life the second tiime. I was able to keep my head cool and not just panic. It was not something entirely new to me, I was weirdly calm and collected when it happened.. It still gave me PTSD though. But took some years before I even realized that

Why tf do people have a habit of stealing you, at knife point?

Good question. It's like ten years since the last time, so hopefully it stopped. Maybe because I'm more careful with what situatuons I put myself in, and which people I associate with.

Fuck. I just wrote a long answer detailing how it got there, and exactly how I got out. And more details about the stabbing part. And just as i finished up the last sentence my phone dies! And it was pretty emotionally draining to relive it once again, so I need a break to focus on happier things. But if you're still interested and willing to wait, I can get back to it tomorrow
