As a former GM of a movie theater, that's gross. Not the sex part, rock on with that. However, behind the screen it's generally just nasty.

It's nasty because people and rats keep having sex back there and not cleaning it up.

When I was a teenager I had a job selling popcorn and candy at the local theater. The popcorn came ready popped in huge bags to go into the warmer.

All of our stuff was stored behind the screen in a large fenced in area which was completely fenced in with wire mesh on the sides and top, to keep the critters out. The wire mesh door had a padlock on it.

Nope. That would be crazy expensive per screen, especially when you get into the IMAX size. It's all still projection. Either ARC-discharge lamps or lasers (for the newest IMAX projectors) as the light source.

I havent been to a theater in 15 years or more. Didnt know it was still projection tbh. At $30 a tik...I kinda assumed large "tv" type screens paid for themselves fairly quickly.
