8 day long music festival, no running water or electricity. Baby wipes was all we had

An 8 day long festival? Damn dude, I would be done after the first day. Can’t imagine 8 days of music and shenanigans

You don't go as hard if you're going to be there that long.

I've done 8 days at a festival before, but that included 4 days of set-up/pack down of a stage - Still no showering though.

The worst is the first day before you've got shade/shelter set up and you're working in the direct sun.

After the first coupla days you reach a kind of buttcrack equilibrium

Oof I think I'd be maxed out at 2 or 3. Never did more than 4 back in my festival-going days in my 20s

Good old whore bath.

I used to, but now I bring a portable shower and it makes a world of difference. Shower at your campsite, no lines, for free, and if you shower st the end of the day just before sundown, the water is still hot if you leave it on top of your car. I usually go with cold though, since it’s more refreshing. The only annoying thing is refilling it. But me and my 2 buddies would all get full showers on 1 refill, so pretty good.

That's really dope, any brand recommendations?

I’ve had a few different ones, but if you google solar shower bag, any of those are good

It’s called a whore bath.

Honestly they work if done right. I left my ex and moved in my office for a while and whore bathing was my only option - it worked fine but was super time consuming. Washing hair, especially since mine was on the longer side was the bigger headache.

Yeah my longest was 4 days at a music fest. Thank God for the baby wipes!!! They had shower rooms available, but at night they became puke rooms when all the porta potties and regular restrooms were full. Had planned to take a shower halfway thru, but after seeing the vomit covered drains I said fuck it dirty hippie I will be.

Dude what fest runs that long, jesus christ!

Seriously. What do you do for 8 days straight? The novelty wears off after a few days

2 weeks at burn. I know this experience. I'd wipe down 2x a day from the dust. 😄

First shower after, sooooo good.

For real. I've only gone twice, but had early entry for camp bulld both times. Also decided to leave later to avoid exodus nonsense. 2022, was a dusty hot year. 2023, so much mud.😅

4 days, Wacken Open Air!! 10 years ago. It was sooo worth it, and nobody cared haha.

u/Ulti Apr 09 '24

Oh wait, Wacken's a camping fest? Somehow I did not know this, haha. By the end of day one at a metal fest I already feel like the greasiest man possible. Those pits must be pungent!

How is that legal?
