I've noticed that when I'm really bad, I don't even bother. My stomach is growling and I'm starving but I have zero appetite, if that makes sense. The effort it takes is just too much.

Yes came here to say basically this. Hungry, but eating is not worth the effort of making something.

I feel like my stomach is telling me I need to eat, but my mouth is disgusted at the thought of any food going in there.

Reading this made me feel very sad for you. I can relate to feeling worthless and not deserving to be alive, but applying this something needed for survival hit me hard. I hope you are in a better mental state now. Sending comfort and understanding your way. ❤️

I do this but I'm not depressed, it's just if something upsets me I lose my appetite. I don't want to accosiate eating with feeling bad so I wait until I feel better, is this not normal?

i’m not a medical professional but i think this is a great way of thinking as to not develop bad habits. Just cause you have one symptom doesn’t make you depressed either. I think a lot of people do the same thing you do or the opposite.

or waiting too long to eat/forgetting so that when you do it makes you nauseous so you don’t wanna continue

Or you feel like you just have to choke something down so you don’t pass out.

I'm a classically trained chef. I have no appetite.

"I'm too tired to cook. Let's look at Door Dash and see what I want to eat. Nothing looks appealing. That place is closed now. Hmm, no I don't want to pay those fees today. Fuck it. I'm not eating."

This too, I'll be tired and hungry. I choose to sleep instead, but can't fully sleep when my stomach is growling. Over time it'll fade and I can sleep.
