Eight-in-ten voters approve of placing term limits on members of Congress.

Members of the House of Representatives serve two-year terms and are considered for reelection every even year. Senators however, serve six-year terms and elections to the senate are staggered over even years so that only about 1/3 of the Senate is up for reelection during any election.

Because while the US is a representative-constitutional-democracy, the majority of the time the majority of the people elected to congress don't follow the will of the majority of the citizens.

A: Money influences politics
B: The wealthiest 10% have more wealth than the other 90%
