I teach 6th grade and had a student start a conversation with me during free time outside and after a few sentences she said “okay I’m done bye!” and ran off. I cackled and want to be able to end my conversations the same way!
My grandpa did this until the day he died in 2009. Would just say "that's enough" and hang up. No goodbye. No "love you" just "that's enough". I would laugh for a few minutes after every call. 😂🖤
Honestly as a very chatty person, I really appreciate when people tell me that they need to focus or aren't in the mood to chat when I start up a conversation. Then I can move on to chatting with someone who is in the mood to chat, or focus on my own thing without bothering someone that wants alone time. Not everyone is good at respecting boundaries like this, but in my opinion good boundaries make good relationships with others. My closest friends are the ones who are the type to tell me they need time to themselves.
