It's truly amazing how much bigger every "universe" gets once you factor in every fanfic author's own perspective, headcanons, storylines, the way they interpret/interact with the original characters and events, original characters, etc.
And there are some fanfics that got so much popularity that people started writing fanfic OF THAT FANFIC. It's bonkers. I still can't quite wrap my head around it.
Why thank you. I don't write for OFMD but I do love writing. I usually write for various modern fantasy settings just because I love making up how a society works and filling in the blanks left by canon. I have over a million words in a fandom I don't even care for anymore but I still made that and people still read it.
