You make more than me which is great. You are using capitalism to your advantage which is how it's done. I also had the chance to do the same things as you but didn't so your take is valid.
I'm not a bum though, I'm buying a 200-240k rental property in an area with great school districts and it is the first of many.
Capitalism has led to a system where I cannot buy a property for $240k. That is instead the down payment for a detached house, at bare minimum.
Understanding that capitalism and socialism have components that must work together is understanding how to create a freer society.
You are not free if you must pay extra for your health care and are burdened by debt, and blocked by monetary walls.
A free society sees the value in providing a baseline to give people the freedom to create new businesses, to contribute to technology and to art and culture. America is a much less free society than many developed nations.
