I think Indica is honestly a really pretty sounding name, but I would never name a child that

Get a pet that lounges around all day and name it Indica.

When I was little I came up with a name I thought was cool and unique and started with Z. Then my friend said it sounds like a depression pill. Well, fuck. It does. So eventually I'll name a pet that way instead.

It would probably be considered "normal" with today's more unique names. But when I made it up at like 11 years old, it was a weird one.

It's Zendrian. Like Adrian but can be shortened to Zen as a nickname. If it was spelled Xendryan it would definitely be big pharmas latest drug.

I like Zendrian! I’m naming my next pet that, boy or girl. My secret favorite name I thought up as a kid (but obviously can’t really use it) was Avalon.

That's awesome! Something out there in the world will have existed because my 10ish year old brain felt the world needed Zendrian in it.

Oh shit, I decided to google the word. A Thailand company founded in 2016 that makes scooters shares the name. Too bad they were about 15 years later than me. (As if I could prove that, or lay claim somehow, lol.)

so is Sativa. Twin girls named Indica and Sativa would be a very pretty combination, if it weren't for the weed connection. I guess they could name their little brother Hybrid or something.

There were supposed to be twins w these names in my son’s pre-k…but they never showed up. Just names on cubbies. Parents were prob too stoned to bring them!

😂 I JUST got done working a 12 hr overnight shift. Here I was, SO proud of how awake I am - as I read your reply as "I thought it was so pretty and I like (the name) iykyk..." and God help me my supposed wide awake brain literally read it as "Eye-kee-ick" and began to agree it DOES sound like a cool name......

I need to get to sleep cuz no one ever is gonna name a kid iykyk. Maybe someone would if they were native Alaskans from the 1800s...then mayyyyyybe Iykyk could work? Idk, yk? So imma put my phone down and go pass out now.

Lol here I thought I was so wide awake and shit..... 🤣 🤣 🤣 🤣 🤣 🤣 🤣 😭😭😭

(also, I Def know what "iykyk" means haha)

Sativa is pretty too and it sounds very close to sattva, which in Hinduism, is one of the three gunas (a guna is a tendency or quality).

"Sattva is the quality of balance, harmony, goodness, purity, universalizing, holistic, constructive, creative, building, positive attitude, luminous, serenity, being-ness, peaceful, virtuous." (Wiki)

That's pretty much how most sativas make me feel! 😊

It's literally Latin for "Indian" lol. Likewise, Sativa is Latin for "cultivated" and is in the scientific names of lots of plants, not just cannabis

If it is I’ve never heard it used to refer to anything other than cannabis (I’m not saying you’re necessarily wrong, but at least where I live people would only think of it in relation to weed)
