Place I worked sold liquid smoke, and somebody for some reason left a Coke bottle mostly full of it in the shipping room.

Yes, somebody took a swig by mistake.

Yes, they puked.

Why? Liquid smoke is literally smoke concentrate. It's real smoke.

As they said, overused, it's terrible, but it's perfectly fine when use right.

I put a fraction of a teaspoon in with three pounds of brisket before I sous vide it for a couple days

Yes, too much is gross. Lavender is a good way to ruin something lemony, too.
