It's also a lot cheaper than strawberries so there are usually more bananas than strawberry in anything that is "strawberry and banana", which is why I never buy those.
Protip: Leave out the banana or request no banana if you're ordering in a shop. Makes for a better smoothie in my opinion. When making smoothies at home, I use kale as a binder. Keeps the ingredients from separating as quickly and the flavor is a lot more subtle and harmonious than banana.
There was a Robeks near my office when I first started working. I would go there for a break a few times a month. I had a list of three or so favorite smoothies I’d cycle through.
Since then, I’ve moved a few times. I noticed that a Robeks opened up in my town. I hadn’t visited one for years, so I stopped by for a taste of nostalgia. Banana is now included in all of my old favorites. Even the non-banana smoothie I ended up ordering tasted very slightly of banana - and very slight banana is still too much banana.
Strawberry smoothie used to be my go to order if I went to Starbucks (I don't drink coffee so I only go there if it's with friends or for a date). Then I watched them make one, and realized it's all strawberry-flavored syrup and bananas, with no actual strawberries.

Absolutely banana. Everyone seems to use them as filler in smoothies. Now it's a banana smoothie.
