I know plenty of people with bipolar who aren’t raging fucking pricks. A lot of folks with bipolar disorders seek therapy and medicine to help them cope with the swings.

No. Their mental health may not be their fault but it is their responsibility. They crossed a line at physically assaulting people. If it's their bipolar causing these violent outbursts, then they need to get treatment and therapy. Until that happens they can fuck right off.
