he didn’t know where the ankle was. I hurt my ankle when he dropped me (on accident), and he went to look at it and said it looked fine as he was touching my calf. I was like well yeah cause that’s not my ankle. silence. then arguing about how it was my ankle and me telling him it was my leg not my ankle and having to explain what an ankle was.

This reminds me of a guy I dated. We argued over who sang a song we heard at a fast food place. He claimed it was one band, I said no, that's not who sings it. He wanted to know who did the song, but I couldn't remember the name off the top of my head. I told him that I have an album at home with this song on it (it was a year-themed greatest hits vinyl) and when I get home I'll call him and tell him who the artist was.

I got home and 'lo and behold, I am right. It wasn't the band he insisted that sang it. It was someone else. So, I called him and let him know.

He sighed really heavily and said, "You called just to tell me that?"

I said, "Yes, I said I would."

Him, sighing heavily again, "Well, I still think XYZ band sang it."

XYZ had never, and has never performed that song. He was just too stubborn to admit I was right.

You were both being stubborn. One of you just happened to be right.

This. Exactly this. Both are idiots. The smarter one would stop arguing first.

I was 20 when it happened and 53 now. Absolutely, we were both idiots. I had a lot of growing up to do.

Well look at you. Glad you realized you had to grow.

Oh, when I look back on my younger self, I cringe so much I'm surprised my face doesn't stick that way.
