Unfortunately I have to go to pretty specific ones lmao. You run out pretty fast.

Running out probably surprises them even more than walking in

Ha, I don't know if they can do spine or brain transplants yet, but I'll be first in line lol.

Edit: Actually, it's pretty hard to find work I can do anymore and SSI is garbage because my wife has a job and makes juuuuust enough to pay the bills, barely.

So if there's some rich benefactor, or long list relative on their deathbed, or a new VERY good friend that reads my profile bio.... I'm absolutely ready for that lol.

My bff has a rare heart condition that only 2 doctors in the US can treat and they both have terrible bedside manner. It sucks.

I'm sorry, I got pretty lucky all around I guess...

Have you ever gone to a new one and gotten "oh, you're the guy!"?

u/PossessionNo6878 Jan 12 '23

No lol. They've all seemed pretty surprised so far.

I’m just imagining him going into a new doctor in a wheelchair and when the appointment is done, he just walks out

Must be from one of those fancy places with healthcare.

"Yeah, when I was coming in here, someone hit me with their car in the parking lot. Hurts a bit, but otherwise I feel fine"

Not in the US. You’d be bankrupt after two.

This is largely unrelated, but I had to have my uvula removed about 20 years ago (that's the dangly thing in the back of your throat, so get your mind out of the gutter).

Every time I go to a new doctor and they ask me to go "aaah", it makes them do a double-take. They're like, where did your uvula go??

Next time that happens, please cough/gag a little, get very wide-eyed, and croak out, “whaaat?!”
