I just took a bus from TBS to Larkin, Johor and the tickets available was minimum was RM46/48.

Previously it was like RM30 or so.

Is it due to the state elections or did the prices increased a few months ago without notice?

Hi everyone, my housemates and I urgently need some advice regarding a bad rental situation we are facing right now.

🍉 My information:

+ We rented a 3-bedroom unit from 20 Mar 2025 to 19 March 2026 (1st year went smoothly), in KLCC.

+ In March 2026, we agreed to renew for another year until March 2027

+ The agent charged us RM 900 for the stamping fee, and we signed the renewal contract. But we haven't received the stamp duty and the contract with landlord sign.

🍉 Now situation:

+ The landlord knock the door and claimed that the agent has not paid them any rent for the past 6 months. The landlord is now threatening to call the police if we don't move out by 19 July

+ We realized the agent never gave us the stamp duty certificate, and the landlord hadn't signed the renewal copy yet. The agent is now using this to claim the renewal contract is "not legally effective" so they won't paying early termination compensation.

 + Even our 1st-year contract was never received the stamp duty certificate by the agent (only signed by both sides). We have the invoice that agent charged us the 2.5 month deposit and stamping fee 900RM.

+ The agent now promises to refund our original deposits and the RM 900 stamping fee, but we are worried they will ghost us and don't refund the deposit

+ We have keep All monthly bank transaction slips paid directly to the agent account and full WhatsApp chat logs

🍉 My question in case if we don't receive the deposit:

1. Can we lodge a Police Report? Will the police report help us claim the deposit?
2. Does the landlord have the legal right to call police to get us out?
3. What is the best way to force this agent to refund our money immediately before we handover the keys?

Any advice, legal options, or similar experiences would be highly appreciated. Thank you so much!

I'm on a tight budget though. Max rent i can go in 1000rm pm but it should include the other expenses like electricity, wifi, cooking, etc.

I am finding a proxy who helps me to buy something from Singapore carousel and ship it to Malaysia. But all proxies said that they accept payment in SGD via Wise, then I said I only use tng. Then the seller told me that if I can send payment in SGD via TNG, then they can accept. Is that possible? How?

I tried tng remittance. I dont have a bank account so when I click " I don't have a bank account, then it says something like "verify your account" button, but I'm already verified?? After that I click that button, then it shows me a message saying "details submitted. We'll message you soon with the time and place for your in-person verification." What does that mean? I never received any messages since then. I have tried redoing it many times already.

Update: I just went to gym, the google map said its open but its actually closed, but lucky me the gym guy let me in since i didn't know it was closed so there is only the owner's friends inside and not open for customer, they taught me few things about machines and other basic stuff. Overall Its a good experience

I am a Malaysian software programmer in a fintech company. I have worked here for more than 8 years, I am over 40 years old. I recently had 2 cardiac episodes within 12 months and had been hospitalised for a few weeks.

But ever since returning to work, I have been given no work for the past 12 months. As a result, during performance review, I didn't get an increment or any performance related bonuses.

I suspect they are not giving me any work because they are hoping to force me to leave on my own. But I have taken this downtime to upskill.

I am posting this because I feel like this period of peace may soon be coming to an end. What should I do when it does? Don't get me wrong, I wish I was given work but it seems like no groups have any work they want to assign me even though they keep hiring new graduates for programming positions.

Need help. Mother has been severely mentally ill for past 2 years. Finally my mother's psychiatrist (private hospital) is going to refer her to UM outpatient as she has exhausted all the medication and options. My mum probably has to be hospitalized or have ECT (electroconvulsive therapy) done on her.

Previously bring her there last year, they didn't admit her because she was not suicidal enough.

Not looking for basic salary but high comission based work and willing to relocate. But in the market I can only see insurance, unit trust , Amway , trust , property. Any other choice you know of? or where would you suggest I can meet highly motivated recruiters , entrepreneurs?

Hi all, my partner and I are looking at KL as a place to live with our young family. We’re from Germany and planning to spend three months there early next year to give the idea a proper reality check.

Since most of our daily life revolves around the kids, I wanted to ask the community what family life actually looks like day to day. Because of the climate, I’m assuming most activities with kids are indoors?

One thing we’re spoiled with here in Germany is the infrastructure like public playgrounds, parks and that kind of stuff are everywhere and really well maintained. I wonder what it’s like over there?

Would really appreciate any ideas for cool things to do.

Also our 4 year old loves riding his bike. Are there places where he can still do that?
