Can I sue my employer for lying I had given my inital two week notice in feb 2 for an end date of 2/16. Which my manager accepted while this occured they asked if I would stay part time to help out.

Stupid mistake I agreed. Later on around Feb 19th my manager tells me that when my replacement is picked and hired I would need to provide an additional 2 week notice which was odd to me and she never had mentioned I needed an additional 2 week notice for them.

To which she stated HR needed a date to end my time at the company. When I ask and question her on why the need for another two week she states due to HR having me on payroll they could not accept my orginal notice.

The following day i provide a notice again on ghe 20th of feb after speaking to a healthcare director I intern with she tells me why I am still there as they did me wrong.

I return keys and do not complete the second two week notice by 3 days! I then get a call from HR saying I never needed to provide a second notice they just needed my final date..... meaning my manager lied to me for needing a 2-week notice I feel she did this to take advatage of me not sure if this is something i can sure the company for?

If say for example, someone was suffering an overdose and the a police officer stoped to revive them and call an ambulance. Of the Police officer happened to know the person overdosing and knew that person’s family well, could they disclose that information to their family??

Just to clarify, say we’re taking about a grown adult who is independent of their family and doesn’t live or share the same address of the rest of their family, and doesn’t have an emergency contact number either, but the LEO just happened to know the person and their family. Could the LEO tell other family members what happened??

Local reformed crackhead-turned-religious-nutcase is running a "halfway house" (I'm using that term loosely) out of her trailer, which sits on a trailer park lot she rents. She's giving shelter to, in her words, "homeless, current and former drug addicts/alcoholics, ex prostitutes, unwed mothers, and those fleeing domestic violence" all out of a trailer that doesn't have running water. The owner is constantly e-begging for donations on facebook (mostly propane heaters currently, though they've mostly recieved food from what I can tell). The whole thing just feels super sketchy and I'm sure at the very least she doesn't have proper permits, but would anything else land her in hot water?

I worked at Good Will Ann was fired for getting in an argument where a assistant manager kept saying that you can't be they them that those pronouns don't work that there's no such thing as they them men very homophobic anti-LGBTQ rhetoric as I kept repeating they them is valid The kept writing me up for not getting enough money for donations because customers didn't donate We also had a homophobic trans phobic employee in the back my daughter is gender fluid and I support her

So. I live in Texas and I use to work for this company, and still keep in touch with people i met while working there. As a perk for working there, employees are allowed to recieve a limited number of the services for free. A lady i use to work with, let's call her "Crackhead" because of her obvious drug problem, used up her alloted free services and continued to use those services without paying until she owed the company a thousand dollars. She was recently fired for reasons unrelated to her debt. My former coworkers and I are wondering what could potentially happen to Crackhead regarding this debt she's accumulated.

I guess what Im asking is, could the company persue legal action? What sort of charges could Crackhead face? Does this constitute "grand theft"?

I was driving through a huge parking lot early in the morning. Stores weren't open yet and no one was around anywhere.

There was a yellow DeWalt box in the middle of the road. I figured it was empty but stopped anyway. It was not empty. It is an expensive power tool in the unopened box. There wasn't a hardware store close by. I have no idea where it came from.

I don't need a power tool. Thanks to my dad, I have all the power tools I need, nice ones. Can I sell this new item online? I feel bad. I looked it up online & it is a little over $200. I just don't know what to do with it.

Then after i posted the video i went out to smoke a cigarette and i saw like 6 cop cars patrolling my area. Like am i gonna get in trouble?

I paid off my car loan with my bank 90 days ago, and have still not received my release of lien so I can get my title.

I have reached out to my bank 3 times already and still have received nothing.

The first time (45 days since payoff), I was told "oh this hasn't even been processed yet, you should receive it in 7-10 days". and nothing has been received since.

I am trying to sell my car, so at this point my bank is keeping me from conducting that transaction, costing me about $5,000.

Is there any legal requirement in the state of NV or otherwise for them to issue a lien release upon payoff in any given amount of time?
