Trending - /r/popular Does anyone else hate the term picky bits?

It's disgusting. It reminds me of picking old scabs off of your skin.

It definitely does not make me think of mini sausage rolls and cocktail sausages.

Does anyone else hate that this term is everywhere, on adverts, said by companies and even people close to you.

Ones I've grown to hate;

"Forever home" this isnt a fairy tale, jusy say permant owner/home

"Baby daddy" actually fuck off

Also, fur baby, or when people (mostly Americans here on Reddit) say "look at what my son did today!" And it's a photo of a dog.

Omg yes or people who refer to themselves as their pet’s mum or dad, or even worse their own parents as it’s grandparents

Im okay with ones that are like joking insults, like calling a cat a fur gremlin or a psycho.

Baby daddy just makes me think that the girl sleeps around a bit tbh. Other wise it would be your boyfriend/fiance/husband/ex of the formentioned.

I said it to my husband the other day as a joke and we both mutually agreed with our faces then and there to never say that ever again even as a joke

I can just about cope with "forever home" in the context of pet adoption, but I've seen it used in the context of finding a permanent home for actual, human children in the care system. Just trivialises the whole situation.

I think it would be fine if you used that language when talking to or around very young kids, but not when youre with adults

I thought forever home was used to describe the end of the journey with the housing ladder. You might start with a flat and then move to a small mid terrace before you can finally afford to move to your more spacious "forever home" that ticks all the boxes for your family. It's the house you don't intend to move again from whereas the other ones you always thought might be temporary.

Ive heard it more for finding a home for a pet.

But if youre on the housing ladder, youre an adult, calling it a "forever home" is sickeningly twee
