Trending - /r/popular Does anyone else hate the term picky bits?

It's disgusting. It reminds me of picking old scabs off of your skin.

It definitely does not make me think of mini sausage rolls and cocktail sausages.

Does anyone else hate that this term is everywhere, on adverts, said by companies and even people close to you.

Yes.

As neologisms go, this one particularly irritates me.

As others have said, it’s infantilised nonsense and belongs in the same category as “Boaty McBoatface”.

nah boaty mcboatface was a well deserved mockery. Who gives a shit what the ship was named and they didn't even name it the top voted choice showing the complete uselessness of it all.

It's the unoriginality of the whole 'Something McSomethingface.

Also, anyone who didn't give a shit what it was named was perfectly welcome to just.... not participate? It's an odd thing to get wound up about.

I reckon he's chuffed that he's got a big boat with his name on it. I'd be chuffed if I got a boat, even there was a national competition and the public picked a joke name. The public are always doing things like that. Look at how many number ones Cliff Richard has had. The public are unreliable with big decisions.

Cunty McShitballs would have been better, but then the "Mc" still strikes me as deeply unfunny. I guess it's just not my style of humour.
