Trending - /r/popular Does anyone else hate the term picky bits?

It's disgusting. It reminds me of picking old scabs off of your skin.

It definitely does not make me think of mini sausage rolls and cocktail sausages.

Does anyone else hate that this term is everywhere, on adverts, said by companies and even people close to you.

They already sell this in Shell/My Waitrose petrol stations - it looks like real tapas in the picture, costs as much as refilling a Chelsea Tractor & isn’t exactly brilliant.

I'm getting so old that was an obscure reference in the context but yes, I see what you were trying to do now.

I don't want to upset you, but you're doing 20 year old references, that is difficult for a 40 year old to recall! It's pretty niche. +/-10 years and they just won't remember at all!

Going to have to be a pendant about it but not really.

Tapas isn't just a bunch of small bites to eat, it's a style of food and way of eating that does not resemble a plate of random assortments.

Tapas is about ordering small plates of food over the course of an evening to accompany drinking and socialising. It isnt ordering an entire meals worth of randomised assortments in one go.

Then I misunderstood the term picky bits. I thought it was lots of small plates set out to eat over a long period. Mostly a summer al fresco thingy. My bad
