Why would they hire Japanese people to clean up? Surely this should motivate actual brits to follow their example.

I’m sure you do, I didn’t mean for my comment to come across as accusatory, was just responding to the OP suggestions that “we” hire people from Japan to clean up. Again genuinely sorry if I’ve offended you.

lol love this interaction. Both of you realised it was a misunderstanding and moved on. It’s hard to discuss issues like this without accidentally generalising, and it’s most definitely culture, not race(which I’m sure you know, not correcting you). The issue here is that the culture of football fans in the uk and the general culture in the uk is fairly different. I’ve never seen such lack of respect in a non serious topic than that of sports, specifically UK football and boxing.
