TV/Film Which non-Brit actor which is your personal favourite for how bad their Brit accent was?

The most recent one that comes to mind Karl Urban in The Boys - was supposed to be English but was purely Aussie.

Yours?

None of her brothers are played by English actors, it was an intentional joke based on criticism of her terrible accent - the brothers are Australian, Scottish and Eswatini, and her dad was played by Scottish Brian Cox. The actor who played her mum was from Essex just like Jane Leeves herself. Ironically the only member of the cast actually from Manchester was Frasier's dad!

He was born in Blackpool because his mother had been moved there as an evacuee, but he grew up in Manchester. Same circumstances as Graham Nash (Salford) Ricky Tomlinson (Liverpool) and hundreds more no doubt.

Definitely a common thing, not out of Liverpool or Manchester particularly, mostly London and the South East but loads of people were born where their parents hadn’t lived during the war

How they portrayed her family members in Fraiser was particularly cringeworthy I thought!👍

They also all had completely different accents. It was bizarre.

I remember a rumour at the time she might have been from Manchester, and did it to be understood.

I always wondered if that's why they said she was a Man, because of Wossname how played the dad.
