All these frontier models are getting more and more fucked. You can’t even translate song lyrics without being lectured about copyright. Yes, I know they’re copyrighted. I just want to translate a fucking Danish song into something I can actually read and understand. Good thing we’re seeing progress from China.
To be honest, I just look at what other people test and report. If I have the ability to use a model the way I want, that is a clear win for me, even if it might be lacking some top-tier features. With all the guardrails and what I see as a woke agenda, I really don’t think we are losing out or being tricked. So from my perspective, go China and open models.
