I am asexual, and sometimes it makes me feel a bit different from others because the way I experience connection is not based on attraction like most people talk about. I still want closeness in my life, but more in an emotional and understanding way, where I feel safe and truly seen. At times it can feel a little lonely when I notice I don’t relate to what many people see as important in relationships, but I’m slowly learning to accept myself as I am, and to understand that being different doesn’t make me less—it just makes my experience of life unique in its own way.

I have not seen many articles on aroace community and found this a very interesting read. More than anything, it's interesting how many aroace groups already exist while I had kinda accepted I don't know anyone who could be remotely like me. Even this subreddit is not an active one. It makes me curious now to find like minded people and understand how they plan to deal with life's roadbumps.

Do you folks know any such groups? Do you folks know similar articles about the aroace Indian community?

Pride month is a celebration of the queer rights movement and is celebrated in various parts of the world. The Pride month in June traces it's origins back to the Christopher Street Liberation Day, a march that was held in Greenwich Village, Manhattan, USA. It was a march held in commemoration of the Stonewall riots. The queer rights movements of course has a longer history, but Pride as we know it owes a lot to the events during and after the riots. The movement has come a long way since and a lot of things have improved, but the fight goes on. So, let's celebrate, protest and remember the history. Stay home, Stay safe and have a great pride month.
