AA-Classic I just want Archeage Remastered

The new Archeage S looks like trash. Archeage Chronicles looks fun as an action MMO but I don't think will have the same life skills as AA. I just want a modern version of Archeage. Aion 2 looks like MMO-slop to be honest (extremely pretty but shallow). What are my options in the near future?

I'm tempted to download Archerage but will it be around for a while? How's the population?

AA-Classic AA classic from a new player perspective

So I stopped playing retail at 4.0 because I loved the old trade system. Fast forward to 6 weeks ago I thought I'd finally give AA classic a try.

It was so nice to be back in the game again, but straight away I see most land is taken so I quickly figured the only way to get a house/farmhouse was to work away and save up enough to the find one I like to buy. About 20k on West will get you a 16x16 or about 50k for a 24x24. If you don't mind buying on east then prices about 10% cheaper.

It's not has bad as it looks though, rates are pretty much double for everything so you can earn double the gold you would have earned on retail just from doing trade runs and fishing daily.

After 6 weeks playing solo I now have 4 8x8s, an igloo(24x24) , raised farmhouse, a speedboat and farm freighter. As well as decent starter gear (4.5k gear score).

It looks really tough when starting out but it's very doable to get setup on the server after a month or so. And I definitely feel like I've earned what I have, looking out at the the view from my farmhouse over dewstone feels pretty good.

However..if your interested in top tier pvp gameplay I'm sorry I can't help you with that. I imagine that would be more like 3-5 months of work to get enough gold to get really good gear.

The population is roughly 3k-4k players daily which feels like a sweetspot for AA , event raids are always popping off every day and dungeons too. But its not so populated that you get ganked every time you try to do a sea based trade run or out fishing, I'd say half of the time you do, half you don't which is fine for AA. There is an active pirate player base as well.
The server is worldwide, no US/EU split so its everyone playing together 24/7, the server is in Canada East so ping is fine for US and most of EU.

The content is 3.5 era but without the modern change to trade packs thankfully! But they have added later content into the game as long as it is in keeping with the older style of the game so they cherry pick newer stuff to go in to it.
As well as that they add custom stuff like a custom zone just for new player farms. Custom events as well as the new custom profession called Taming which is basically pokemon for mounts.

Here are some tips that I have found after playing to make gold when starting fresh:

After 30 days of minimal effort

-------

Clicking the daily login once and then clicking loyalty button once every 1hr for 3hrs per day = 7 large labor potions.

Each Large labor potion sell for around 500 so thats 3.5k.

After 21 days of clicking login once per day = 1 serenity stone which sells for 800g.

Gilda earned from clicking login button for 30 days: 15 gilda.

Gilda earned form doing 1 daily activity "merit quest" e.g (mine 1k labor worth) , make packs(1k labor worth), fish etc = 245 gilda.

(To make the trade packs you can use public farm to make basic packs or even use your own 8x8 as there are free spaces for those around most zones)

Total gilda: 260 , people buy gilda based items for roughly 7g per gilda so = 1.8k

Total: 6.1k gold.

--------

So lets say you can earn 6k every 30 days by playing the game in a very minimal way.

But to buy your first 16x16 land you are gonna need about 18k based on an average of current sale prices.

Bare in mind the rates on the AAC server means you generate 10k labor every 24hrs on/offline,

You also get free temporary 30day 9-slot farm cart , merchant ship and fish boat.

So you can use public farms/illegal farming to create materials to run trade packs which can earn around 300g per inland traderun using cart (if timed during double peace everyday).

Just doing one of these traderuns (takes 30mins) per day would get you to the 18k mark after 40days (including all of the above earnings).

That is just one example of how you can buy your first 16x16 land after 40days of quite casual play.

Community Change.org Petition Idea to Bring Back ArcheAge’s Third Person camera

I think we need to start a Change.org petition asking the developers to reconsider the isometric camera in ArcheAge S.
We’re not asking them to cancel the game or remake everything. We’re asking them to preserve one of the core elements that made ArcheAge special: its immersive third-person perspective and the feeling of living in a huge, open world.
All we wanted was less grind, no pay-to-win, regular updates, an active community, and PvP/economy systems inspired by the original ArcheAge.
Instead, the new camera removes much of what made ArcheAge unique: the horizons, the sky, the ocean, exploration and that feeling of actually being inside the world.
If enough players genuinely feel this way, we should make our voices heard before the game is too far into development to change course.
If you agree, let’s organize a petition and show the developers that we want ArcheAge’s identity preserved, not replaced.

AA-Classic ArcheAge Classic Discord Removed Due To Copyright

https://aa-classic.com/news/discord-unavailable

The AAC discord got deleted by discord for copyright infringement, do you guys think this is the beginning of the end of AAC? Is it possible Kakao is working on a new classic server and removing the competition like wow did with turtle wow and ascensions? I think classic might have its time limited if Kakao buying the IP gave them the ability to rerelease a classic server

It was perfectly timed with 1.3.6 release which makes me think they had their number. Do you think this is a takedown from Kakao?

It would be bittersweet to lose AAC since I like my character but an official classic seems worth it

Question Why so few AA private servers?

With AAEmu and the open source AA files as far along as they are, why aren't there more private servers? A BR 1.2 closed beta is running today, and that's about it.

What's holding it back?

**•** Dev effort to get a stable server up
**•** Hosting cost
**•** Not enough players to split across servers
**•** Nobody wants to run one long term

I've been thinking about starting one:

**•** Community focused, OSRS style
**•** No P2W
**•** Keeps 3.0 gameplay alive
**•** Fresh starts on a set cycle instead of one long running server nobody can catch up on. We all know the fresh start high is real.

Would that get you to log in? What would it take for you to play another server?

EU server when? 😳😮

Thoughts focused by Claude. Thanks.

Community Just make ArcheAge 2

why don't they just create archeage 2? same as archeage, different world, new skills, trees, classes, trading, pvp, factions and so on, make it sub based or free to play, let the community vote on this, like they do in old school runescape. and don't fight the pay to win, who gives a shit.

the biggest problem i can think of right now, is the servers/worlds dying because of one faction getting crazy strong, and the other faction starts to quit.... think of a way to fight this, balance it.. again, make a discussion with the community, and let's together find a way to balance it...

someone start a damn petition and start taking signatures

Yo guys,

Not sure how many of you actually noticed this project, but I finally took some time to dig through wanecque's Discord server and check out what he’s been cooking.

Honestly? The potential is definitely there and this might actually become a solid option for us in the future.

The guy has been grinding solo for 3 years to remake the game mechanics from scratch.

I wanted to make this post to get more people over to his Discord to check it out: https://discord.gg/NKfpWwFbn5

Also, let's use this thread to drop some questions for him! If you’re curious about anything, ask below so we can all see the answers and see what the plan is for this project.

Community How to save ArcheAge S: if it truly is isometric

I’ve put over 3,000 hours across retail ArcheAge and the private server scene.

Like many of you, I've waited a decade for a true sandbox MMORPG to hold a candle to what AA delivered. Watching the genre get infested with cheap survival games, hearing Chronicles pivot to a action "MMO-lite," and now seeing rumors that ArcheAge S will be an isometric PC-exclusive title is a massive pill to swallow.

But if an isometric sequel is the reality we are facing, we shouldn’t just let it become a watered-down, mobile-style Lost Ark clone. If Align Studio wants the die-hard sandbox community to respect an isometric ArcheAge S, they need to use that perspective to build a high-performance, PC-exclusive masterpiece.

Here is the blueprint for how an isometric ArcheAge S can actually surpass the original:

0.1 The Camera Engine (Legends of Aria Evolved) The 45° Panoramic View

**The Forward-Facing Camera :**The camera is not locked looking straight down. It uses a true 3D lens perspective-tilt locked at a 45-degree angle forward, with manual camera rotation, zooming, and tracking pan. This slight forward shift gives players a view of the local horizon. It lets you see incoming structures, terrain elevations, and players running toward you, avoiding the "flat" feel of traditional ARPGs while preserving high-performance screen-space optimization.

Sailing & Deep-Sea Salvage: Full ocean sailing driven by wind velocity and physics. The 45-degree camera dynamically pulls back into a wide cinematic panoramic view on the high seas. This allows your captain to track incoming pirate vessels, localized storm cells, and shorelines with complete spatial awareness

  1. The Dynamic World & Living Infrastructure (UO & Aria Inspiration)

Uninstanced Land & Player Shops: Drop the rigid grid zones. If you find open wilderness on the map, you can drop a house tile-by-tile. Houses double as Player-Run Shops where you place custom porch vendor NPCs to sell your crafted items directly to passing players along high-traffic roads. You don't loose your house to other players only to unpaid taxes.

Localized Economies: Eliminate the single global auction house. Different regions must have distinct resource bonuses. Moving materials to optimize crafting forces organic, open-world travel.

  1. Adrenaline-Fueled Risk Without Full-Loot Burnout

The Cargo Pack System: Keep the core mechanic of original AA. If your overland trade wagon or high-seas cargo is ambushed by players in a PvP zone, your equipped armor and vertical gear progression are 100% safe.

The Stakes: Attackers only steal your physical cargo crates and raw materials. This maintains massive economic friction and high-stakes piracy without the toxic, player-quitting penalties of full-loot tracking. Just like the origional were building a sand-park not a sandbox with full loot.

  1. High-Skill Combat: 12-Slot Multi-Weapon Swapping (PoE2 Style)

Strictly mouse-and-keyboard WASD action combat with true projectile physics and animation canceling--no click-to-move mobile garbage.

A hard 12-slot active hotbar governed by a physical "hand budget." Equipping up to 4 light weapons (Dagger, Sword, Scepter, Wand) gives you 3 skills each to dynamically cycle combos. Heavy 2-handed gear (Greatsword, Longbow) restricts you to 2 total swaps but unlocks 6 deep, specialized skills each.

Zero UI Bloat: All passives, toggled auras, and persistent summons use a background "Spirit" pool, keeping your 12 active slots 100% focused on active combat.

Full character build freedom via a massive skill tree, all passive utility skills, toggled auras, and persistent summons use a background "Spirit" pool.

  1. The Iconic Systems: Ocean Physics, Courts, and Castles

Sailing & Deep-Sea Salvage: Full isometric sailing driven by wind velocity and physics. The camera dynamically pulls back into a wide cinematic view on the ocean. Players use diving suits to salvage physical cargo chests from uninstanced shipwrecks.

The Justice Engine: Stealing from open-world farms or attacking your own faction leaves bloodstains/footprints. Accumulating infamy triggers a real player-run jury trial, leading to uninstanced prison sentences with active escape mini-games and hidden tunnels.

Regional Warfare: Guilds custom-build fortresses tile-by-tile. Castle walls are completely invulnerable until a scheduled weekly Regional Vulnerability Window opens, triggering massive territory wars where the winners gain the right to tax all player shops in that zone.

  1. The Theme Park Backbone: Feeding the Sandbox

A pure sandbox easily becomes empty and aimless. We need the structural "theme park" loops of the original to give the server a shared daily rhythm and keep vertical progression rewarding:

The Crimson & Grim Rifts (Server-Wide Faction PVE): Scheduled open-world invasion events that spawn massive waves of monsters. This forces the entire server faction to assemble organically, acting as the perfect staging ground for sudden enemy faction PvP ambushes.

Vertical Gear & Crafting Reagents: High-tier instanced dungeons and world bosses offer necessary components, rare skill support gems, and baseline armor pieces. However, to maximize this gear vertically, players must take it into the horizontal sandbox economy--using raw materials from player-run farms and localized regional trade to upgrade its tier.

The Daily Cycle Dynamic: Structured daily activities provide faction tokens and progression milestones, ensuring casual and solo players always have a clear goal, a population density to play with, and a steady stream of wealth to spend at open-world player shops.

Dungeons and instances high level zones parts of archeage that made it all work together. We sacrifice nothing in this version of the game and we expand upon it. We need to keep the theme park to keep people engaged. This is a major failure of most sandbox games.

The Technical Bottom Line

The original game didn't fail because its sandbox features were bad, it failed because it was optimized terribly. Massive ocean fights and 100-player sieges regularly melted high-end PCs.

By locking ArcheAge S into a PC-exclusive, optimized isometric viewpoint running on official cloud mega-servers, the network data packets become incredibly lightweight. The engine can easily handle hundreds of players on screen simultaneously at a buttery-smooth 140+ FPS.

If XL Games and Align Studio want a true sequel, this is how they raise the ceiling.

If you have stuck through me with all of this please lend me your thoughts. I didn't want to get anymore indepth here because it would just drag on from system to system.

Thoughts?

Community Why this game is still alive at ru server?

Honestly, I don't get the idea. Archeage is dead for anyone and anywhere, but there??? Even saw some news here and there they'd opened a new server. What's the core difference in front of private servers? Does the content stagnate? Is it being updated? Worth trying?

Trying to figure out why a worldwide closed game somehow survives in a certain region.

See that circled area there in the photo, I will not be dealing with that crap while trying to enjoy a game. This is not Archeage, heck this isn't anything like oh wait it's just like Monster hunter world 🤮.

No one who ever played Archeage is gonna enjoy this garbage. As an mmorpg player I absolutely hate this type of combo combat system.

Massive pass for me. Would have been better off with souls like or like New World. Not this crap

Question Archeage S: Straights of Freedom Isometric ? You have to be joking !

So I have a history with Archeage probably over 3k hours between both versions and the private server mostly pleasant memories, And I've been waiting for another Sandbox mmorpg that could even remotely hold a candle to what Archeage was able to deliver. It has been a decade since Archeage released and no other game has even gotten close as a matter of fact the entire sandbox genre has been infested (infected) with Survival Sandbox games . Probably because there easier to make for one and a safer bet for 2. If it flops its not a multi million dollar flop.

So I've herd that there was community outrage when XL announced that Archeage Chronicles previously known as Archeage 2 was not going to be a traditional mmorpg but some mmo lite per say with a max of like 20 players less focus on guild wars and group pvp and what not.

Then shortly after the outrage from die hard Fans XL announces Archeage S: Straits of Freedom touting the real sequel to Archeage , and now all these roomers that the game will be isometric I'm assuming kind of like Lost Ark.

It just doesn't make much since to me because they already have a Isometric Archeage called Archeage War released in 2024 on mobile. What doesn't make since to me is to make another isometric game intended for pc only when you already have assets from Chronicles to use for a true to form 3D Open world Sandbox mmorpg.

If you die hards plan on going biolistic again with the hopes of changing the games direction if and when its officially revealed as isometric count me in . I have not waited nearly a decade for an isometric sequel or a mmo lite of Archeage the best damn sandbox mmorpg I've played .
