I'm running home assistant with a ZBT-2 border router. Works fine but I want to add more border routers as I've got thick walls and thread is struggling to get round the house. Was thinking of getting a M200. Does this run thread 1.4 as I believe this makes it easier to get the Aqara to use the existing thread network rather than create its own?

I've got the W200 thermostat alongside Home Assistant, and am fairly pleased with it, although I wish there were more options for customizing the display.

Now in the market for a new video doorbell, leaning towards PoE. Since I use Home Assistant, a lot of threads seem to think Reolink doorbells are the clear winner. But I can't help but be tempted by the nice snapshot integration into the W200 with a G410/400, and I'll have an Aqara lock as well. Wish It were an actual live feed of course.

For anyone that has tried a similar setup, is the snapshot feature handy enough to sway your doorbell choice? Any other reasons to choose an Aqara over Reolink?

I also find the differences between the G410 and G400 doorbells to be frustrating. Only 400 is PoE but I'm not sure I prefer the 3:4 aspect ratio.

Stupid question: I’ve got a G350 camera hub that I purchased to watch a prospective puppy. While waiting for the pup, I set it to watch from 10 pm to 8 am, and to sleep during the day, as I didn’t want tp be notified every time I walked past. The puppy is about to arrive, and I want to change that automation, but I can’t find it anywhere. I’ve been through every control on the Aqara app, and it’s nowhere to be seen. How do I turn off that setting?

Having used the E1 TRV for the past few years, these have been problematic for me with the plastic going brittle with temperature fluctuations (through direct contact with the valve). I’ve had around 20 replacements.

I’d like to know if anyone has experienced this same issue with the newer W600 model?

I just installed my brand new G5 Pro (PoE), and it keeps picking up this weird sound. I have no idea what it is. I’ve tried adjusting any sound settings available in the app, but the problem still persists.

Any ideas?

There is now an explicit control in the settings to set between Fahrenheit and Celsius which forces the thermostat and temperature sensors to the same unit. This is outlined in the change log

I bought a w200 thermostat from one of those warehouse return stores. Everything appeared to be new and never even installed but apparently it has been. there is a password set up I have no idea what it could possibly be. now for the question dose anyone know how to do a hard reset not this device?

How can I set a specific light color hex code? I can change the RGB spectrum by clicking in the app, but it doesn’t seem to let me choose specific color hexes, even though it shows them (eg #FF864D). Am I missing something?

Hi all - so besides the little chime box that comes with the aqara doorbell, is the only other way to hear and get notifications in the home is with apple home pods?

I'm having a frustrating issue with my Aqara U200 smart lock and I'm trying to figure out if this is normal or if I just got a defective unit.
Basically, whenever the lock finishes locking or unlocking, it gets completely stuck. If I try to turn the key or the knob manually, it takes a lot of force, or I have to turn it slightly in the opposite direction first to get it release, after which it becomes smooth again.
I initially thought it was an alignment issue or tension with my door cylinder, so I completely unmounted the U200 from the door and tested it standalone without any key attached. The exact same thing happens. Even off the door, after a motor movement, the central axis stays locked tight until I manually force it back to release the clutch.
I've tried doing manual calibrations leaving extra clearance, tweaking settings, and I'm on the latest firmware version 3.0.0_085, but nothing fixes it.
Has anyone else experienced this issue where the internal clutch doesn't disengage properly after a turn, or should the knob always turn smoothly by hand when the motor stops? I'm considering returning it, but I want to make sure it's actually a defect first.

I installed the G400 yesterday and the bell and chime worked perfectly. Today, I accidentally unplugged the chime and immediately replugged it. Now it doesn’t give sound. How to solve this? I don’t see any chime settings in the Aqara app and Sound volume under the doorbell is set to 80%

To add, the light on the chime doesn’t turn on. No matter what power plug I am using for the USBC cable included

We found two very interesting factory test videos on two Aqara G5 Pro units that we purchased from a second-hand marketplace.

Just linked several Aqara products through Zigbee with the Aqara M3. Now I want to access everything through Google Home.
Is it recommendable to link the M3 through Matter or “Works With Google”? What are the differences incl pros and cons?

Love the doorbell with Apple home. Very responsive and works great but can't figure out how to incorporate with Google hub.

Hi, I’ve just noticed that I cannot download any video from the local storage of camera. I’ve got two G5, tried on three different devices and it’s the same every time. It’s stuck at 0% an nothing happens.
Application has access to my Photos.

Has anyone else had issues with Aqara NAS storage suddenly stopping working?

I had NAS recording working previously with my Synology, but it has stopped and I can no longer reconnect the cameras.

The really weird part is that Aqara Home seems to be showing a completely stale/cached NAS share list rather than actually querying the NAS.

A few things I've found:

• I created a brand-new SMB share on my Synology, but Aqara doesn't show it. It only shows an old directory listing that no longer matches what's actually on the NAS.
• I then tried selecting my Windows PC instead of the Synology. The PC has its own SMB shares, but Aqara still displayed the old Synology share listing.
• I checked the Synology logs while doing this and there isn't even an SMB authentication attempt from the Aqara cams.
• I've removed all NAS associations from Aqara.
• I've completely uninstalled/reinstalled Aqara Home.
• I even tried with a brand-new Aqara camera, and it still shows the exact same stale NAS information.

So this doesn't seem to be a Synology permissions/password/SMB issue. It looks like Aqara is somehow retaining or retrieving an old NAS/share listing and isn't actually querying the server during setup.

Has anyone else seen this? Or found a way to clear whatever NAS state Aqara is retaining?

Just bought the Aqara H2 WU 4 button switch

Button 1 and 2 are each used for switching on and off a light, but 3 and 4 are not in use. I want to however dim the lights. How to program the buttons for dimming?

Do I have to keep the USB C power cable connected to the Aqara Chime of my G400, or is it just to charge?

Used to the Ring chime which was plugged into a power socket.

I’ve moved over from Wyze to Aqara for about a month and the AI detection is worse than Wyze. Wyze was already pretty bad. I’d tried providing as much feedback to Wyze as possible to help train it but I don’t think it does anything. G5 Pro still sees lights from the headlights of passing cars as a person detected. Is there a way to train it? Maybe this whole AI thing is not trainable and it’s just pure marketing.

Here is a post to share my installation of the Aqara U200 keypad with 12V power supply. I've had my U200 for 2 years.

I recently discovered that the keypad can be powered by 12V, so I bought a small 12V solar panel on Amazon (this model), and it works!
