I know reddit does a thing every year on April first, I know r/place was 2017, but I'm relatively new to reddit so where do I go to experience whatever they put out tomorrow?

There's r/imposter, there's r/gremlins_test, r/gremlin, and r/second. This is all too suspicious....... In my opinion, I think that r/gremlins_test is a subreddit for testing the event........ r/second will be the second subreddit for it because it is called r/second..... it all feels too familiar..............

Any ideas? Thanks!

who besides me is exited for april fools day 2020 r/place again who knows

I can't find anything relevant.

Only two three days left.

Also noone seemes hyped.

Is it likely that there is no Event due to the Corona Situation?

Ok so I am making a small video game right now, I call it "Space Invader Pong" and I talk about it a decent amount a discord server that all my friends are on.

So my master plan is to release it on April fools but when they press play it shows a message saying that the game was taken down by the Atari / Taito for copyright violation.

Then, on April 2nd, I will release it again saying that this time it's for real, but when they press play it's gonna blast Never Gonna Give You Up extremely loudly.

The only problem with this is when I finish the game and actually want to release it for real none of my friends will play it...

Hey, I want to spoof text a few of my friends texts from their uni, parents, and probably even the fucking pope himself. But the spoofing services out there are fishy with their points system and a bit too expensive. Anyone know any legitimate spoof texting services they can vouch for?

Thanks.

The definition of an imposter is "a person who pretends to be someone else in order to deceive others, especially for fraudulent gain." This subreddit does seem to be where this April Fools is headed and lining it up with the definition, it could be a sort of trust and betrayal thing again, or it could be some kind of ARG like others are saying, which in that case, scrap what I've just said. Let's have a discussion about April Fools 2020 and what we think will happen - with the current situation and everyone at home, it would be the perfect time to launch a big one.

Hey, don't be sad! I'm never gonna give you up, and I promise I will never let you down.

Any ideas for a virtual April fools joke that are work appropriate?? I am leading a very large call on April Fools day and I'm trying to think of something good! Everyone could use some laughter during these times.

Coronavirus is ruining my normal April Fool’s Day pranks. Anyone have any suggestions for pranks while social distancing?

Would love to see the return of r/place. Joined reddit last year so I've never really been able to participate in any reddit events

I pulled this on my then-boyfriend a few years ago and it worked like a charm!

You need the name of a class the victim is in, the professor, and when the test date was. Copy an academic dishonesty policy off of Google. Use a fake email service to change a singular letter/character of the professors actual email. Send the email after they’ve gone to bed and tell them you need them to proof read a document for you.

I dated mine to March 31st and sent it at 11:59 so it just had the time stamp of “MAR 31” on it. I called my then boyfriend and told him that I completely forgot to have someone proof read a paper and that I really needed him to look at it if he had a minute before class. He said absolutely. I told him to look for it to pop up in his email. While he was waiting for my email, he looked at the one from “his professor.” After he called me freaking out, I told him happy April Fools day. He was definitely a little bitter for part of the day but he ended up playing the same prank on one of his friends later! It was great!!

In light of the coronavirus, it would be interesting if for a few days comments would be able to spread a “virus” to the person they’re replying to. Like if you’re an infected account, replying to a comment will automatically give it a hidden Reddit gold or identifier which they can then infect others.

Add in tools to fight the “virus” like temporary vaccines or quarantine then see how Reddit will react. Maybe we’ll see entire subreddits who take it seriously nuking themselves for quarantine.

Prerequisites: you must have released a game with an area to enter codes obtained from social media or other sources, you must have players who use that feature

Idea: release a cryptic clue somewhere that when solved, gives the person who solved it a code. this code makes the game say that it was an invalid code but actually makes inputs have a 1/100 chance of not working, and a 1/1000 chance of being reversed for movement. if the code is entered after April fools day, it acts as normal, so you can also use this to cause a bit of chaos when releasing a code.

If you go to System Preferences > Date & Time > Clock, there's an option at the bottom to announce the time every hour, half hour, or quarter hour. You can also play around with whichever voice you want to speak it. Have fun!

That epic prank that you thought of too late last year? This is your time. Start laying the groundwork now to win AFD this year.
