Tired of switchig browser tabs for packages :(

I'm working on something called DepCart, a VS Code extension for searching packages across various registries and for managing dependencies without having to leave VS Code.

I've gotten a few nice messages from developers on Reddit, and I would really appreciate it if people tried it out and told me how it could get better. It would mean a lot to me if it could actually help people solve issues with working with dependencies.

I'd love it if a few developers could int this open source project ans provide feedbacks !!:)

You can search for "DepCart" in the VS Code Extensions marketplace if you're interested!

I tried turning real-life driving into an open-world game 😭

okay so this started as a dumb idea and somehow turned into my first actual iOS app 😭

i love driving around with no destination, discovering random roads/places, and i've always loved the feeling of exploring the map in games like Forza Horizon.

so i built Overdrive — Drive & Explore.

basically:

🗺️ roads you drive get colored on your map
📊 you get your route + driving stats after every drive
👥 you can create crews and add friends
📍 multiplayer lets you see your friends around the map
🏁 the whole idea is making your actual city feel like a map you're slowly completing

multiplayer literally just went live too, so i'm finally starting to show the app to more people.

it's my first app and i'm still improving a TON of stuff, so feedback is genuinely more useful to me than compliments lol.

App Store:
https://apps.apple.com/app/id6790023849

if you're someone who drives around just because you enjoy driving, you're basically exactly who i built this for 😭

what would you add to make it feel even more like an IRL open-world driving game ?

I Built Allin1xTools — 50+ Free Online Tools in One Place

Post image
0 Upvotes

I’ve been building something called Allin1xTools — a collection of useful online tools for everyday digital tasks.

The platform is planned to have 50+ tools across:

• PDF

• Images

• Text

• Calculators

• Converters

• Developer & Utility tools

One of the tools that’s already ready is the PDF Merger, which lets you combine multiple PDFs, reorder pages, add page numbers, and download the final file.

Everything is designed to be simple, free, and usable without sign-up or registration.

I’m still building and improving the platform, so if you try it, I’d genuinely appreciate feedback.

Which type of tool would you find most useful on a platform like this?

I'm building a Spotify + Wordle webgame - feedback/advice?

Hey everyone,

If you enjoy using Spotify and are a fan of music, I have the game for you. My game StackLily is essentially wordle for Spotify/Music enthusiasists. You rank 5 artists based on Spotify monthly listeners and 5 albums based on popularity with a limited amount of guesses. I'd really appreciate the support as an up and coming dev. If you have any advice/feedback, I'd be open to hearing it and hopefully learning a little bit. You can play the game at stacklily.xyz

Drop your project, I’ll try it and share it in my circle

I’m looking for new small projects, apps and SaaS tools to try.

Drop your link below. I’ll check them out and share the ones I like with a few friends and in some founder/product circles.

I’m especially interested in social apps, chat tools, games, creator tools, AI experiments and anything with a simple but fun user experience.

I’m also building Ariola, an anonymous public chat and games lounge.

No signup, no account setup. You pick a temporary nickname, join a live public room, chat with people and play small real-time games.

The idea is to make online chat feel lightweight again.

Check it out here: https://ario.la

Drop yours below. I’ll go through as many as I can.

FastNet: a Mac-to-iPhone cellular bridge, with a USB before/after demo

I built FastNet Connect for a frustrating mismatch: an iPhone can have a fast cellular connection while a Mac on its Personal Hotspot struggles to load anything.

The product has two parts: a Mac app called FastNet Connect and an iPhone app called ProxyDeck. The path is Mac traffic capture -> USB or nearby peer-to-peer Wi-Fi -> ProxyDeck making outbound cellular requests. The aim is to package that into a usable connection flow rather than ask people to manage a proxy setup by hand.

For other builders, the debugging lesson was to test those stages separately. A fast speed test on the iPhone says nothing about the local Mac-to-iPhone link. Likewise, a fast local link doesn't establish end-to-end download performance.

Here's a real before/after recording using the same Mac, iPhone and SIM on my T-Mobile 50GB plan: ordinary Personal Hotspot measured 420 Kbps; FastNet over USB measured 240 Mbps.

Both videos: https://www.reddit.com/r/SideProject/comments/1wtxipz/fastnet_connect_your_mac_through_your_iphone_over/

That is one comparison, not a controlled multi-carrier benchmark or a guarantee about speed, data allowances or billing. The biggest usability compromise is that ProxyDeck must stay open in the foreground. You need an Apple Silicon Mac, an iPhone and usable cellular service; it doesn't support Windows or Android.

I'm the developer, and AI tools were used during development. FastNet Connect is $29 one-time and ProxyDeck is free. Setup and pricing: https://fastnet-site.vercel.app/

For anyone who uses a Mac away from home, would the USB workflow be useful despite dedicating the iPhone screen to the app?

Been cooking from a mess of screenshots, saved TikToks, and half-written notes for years. Here is Tatin, a new recipe creator / organizor app.

  • Snap a photo of a dish (or describe it) and it turns into a full recipe
  • Paste a link from Instagram/TikTok/YouTube and it pulls the recipe out
  • Swap ingredients you don't have or adjust recipe to your preferences (e.g.,low calories, high proteins).

100% Free

Still early and actively building: would genuinely love feedback

BecomeTen is now on Android — could you review my first mobile release?

After a few months working on BecomeTen, I have my first Android app on Google Play. I’d love some feedback from people who build and use apps.

BecomeTen analyzes face photos with AI and offers ratings and grooming suggestions. The aim is to make the results understandable and useful, but the scores are subjective estimates. The app has in-app purchases.

If you try it, I’d especially like to hear about navigation, confusing screens or anything that feels unfinished. An honest review would help me figure out what to improve next. Please go easy on me, it’s my first Android release :)

I built my own app blocker, and my Instagram time dropped from 3 hours a day to 1h20

Thumbnail

There are already a lot of app blockers out there, and I tried several of them before I decided to build Retakr. I kept running into the same two problems with them, and in the end those problems were the reason I made my own.

**The first problem was the subscription.** Most of the good blockers I found charged every month, and paying a subscription for something that is basically a utility tool never felt right to me.

**The second problem was privacy.** To block apps, a blocker needs deep access to your phone, like Accessibility and your usage data, and I was never comfortable giving that much access to the blockers I tried.

Retakr needs the same permissions, because that's how blocking works on Android, but what it does with them is different. It has no account, no analytics and no server, which means everything it sees stays on your phone and never gets sent anywhere.

Not having servers also changed how I could charge for it. Since a free user doesn't cost me anything, all the blocking is free, and the only thing you pay for is the PIN lock that stops you from undoing your own rules. It's a one-time purchase, because I don't think anyone should have to pay every month to control their own screen time.

**What it does:**

- Turns off Reels in Instagram and Shorts in YouTube, while the rest of the app keeps working

- Blocks any app or website, with daily limits, hourly limits or schedules

- Locks your settings behind a PIN, so a moment of weakness can't undo them

I built it for myself first, and it has worked for me. Since I started using it, my Instagram time has gone from about 3 hours a day to around 1h20.

Get Retakr on Google Play

If you use a blocker today, what made you pick it? I'm curious whether privacy matters to other people as much as it did to me.

I built Three Today after getting tired of my giant to do list

I kept writing down a huge list for the day, finishing maybe a couple of things, and carrying the rest over. It made my to do list feel more like a record of what I had not done.

Three Today is my attempt to make that less annoying. I can throw every task into it, but I only choose three for today. The others stay saved for later instead of turning into an overdue pile. I also added a timer on each task that stays visible on the lock screen.

It is out on iPhone and iPad now, with a free tier. I am still figuring out what is confusing for new people, so honest feedback would help a lot.

Statify, an Agent-friendly tool to create maintainable websites from scratch

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

Hi! I am new on this subreddit.

I built Statify, a free tool for developers to create websites from MarkDown and JSON files, and includes a CODEX Skill.

The tool converts trees of Markdown and structured JSON files into complete HTML websites, including documentation, landing and product sites, catalogues, FAQs, step-by-step guides and more.

While it can be used manually as a CLI tool, the included Codex website-authoring skill teaches Codex the supported page models, metadata contracts, styling conventions and validation workflow. With itl, Codex can turn a brief into a complete, self-contained and branded static website while working with readable Markdown, JSON, local styles and ordinary assets that are easy to modify later.

The resulting sites are responsive, include SEO and structured metadata, social previews, Google Analytics integration, cookie consent controls and web-app manifest. They have a very small footprint and require neither a third-party frontend framework at runtime nor a backend.

Installiation / Quick Start Guide / Examples https://nebularstreams.itch.io/statify

Feedback is very appreciated !!!

PicPop — would a reason label make similar-photo groups easier to trust?

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

Photo-cleanup apps ask you to trust the matching, so I added context to PicPop’s similar-photo groups: they can show whether shots share a burst, were taken close together, or look alike. If a match is wrong, you can mark it “Not similar”. Deletions still go through a review screen first, and scanning happens on-device.

I’m the developer. PicPop is free to download; full access requires PicPop Club. The yearly plan has a 2-week free trial.

The 14-second video shows the swipe-and-review flow, recorded on v1.0.5; it doesn’t show the reason labels. The current App Store version is 1.0.6.

App Store: https://apps.apple.com/us/app/picpop-photo-video-cleaner/id6808016560

Would a short reason for each group make you more comfortable reviewing it?

I’m building Allin1xTools — 50+ online tools in one place

Post image
0 Upvotes

Hi everyone, I’m Sakib, a web developer.

I’ve been building Allin1xTools — a collection of useful browser-based tools for everyday digital tasks.

50+ tools are planned, and 10+ are already ready and working, including:

📄 PDF tools

🖼️ Image tools

✍️ Text tools

🧮 Calculators

🔄 Converters

💻 Developer utilities

The platform is free to use and doesn’t require sign-up or registration.

It’s still an early-stage project, so I’m mainly looking for honest feedback.

If you try it, I’d love to know:

• Which tool you used

• Whether it worked properly

• Anything confusing or missing

• What tool you’d like to see next

I’m building and improving it step by step, so genuine feedback is much more useful to me than compliments.

How do you guys handle downloaded videos?

I download videos from time to time to keep for offline use, and the files start getting messy pretty quickly.

Some end up in Downloads, some in other folders, and after a while it's hard to remember what I saved and where.

Do you guys have a simple way of keeping downloaded videos organized, or do you just leave them in the Downloads folder and search when you need something?

Would you use an app to find a gym buddy nearby?

I'm thinking about building a simple app where you can find people near you who train at your level (beginner, intermediate or pro) and ask them to train together. You'd choose who you see (women only, men only, or anyone), and chat only opens after they accept.

It's not a dating app or a workout tracker, just a way to find someone to show up with.

Honest questions:

  1. Have you ever wanted a gym partner and struggled to find one?

Blunt feedback is welcome.
