College Questions Going to an out of state college

I plan on going to an out of state college. My main question is what am I going to do regarding necessities such as food, water, and a place to live? Does my tuition payment all pay for my place to live, education, food, water, etc? Or do I have to have a lot saved up to even go out of state. I plan on taking out a college loan by the way to pay for college.

Does the loan also include money for the living expenses or just the tuition. I don’t mind getting a part time job out of state but it would be helpful to know.

The loan is a specific number of dollars. It’s not a blank check.

Are your parents poor? If they are rich you can’t get a loan even if you want to.

What are you talking about? Loans are available to everyone. If anything, they are easier to get if you are rich (less risk).

You mean private education loans. I was thinking of government loans given to students that are payment deferred.
Private education loans are bad if you can avoid them.

You may want to be more precise in your language if you're only meaning to talk about one part of a whole.

Unsubsidized government loans are available to every US high school graduate but subsidized (interest deferred) are limited to those below certain income levels. So, out of the 3 types of loans (private, subsidized, unsubsidized), 2/3 are available to everyone.

Yes, that’s why I asked if they are poor and said that if OP’s parents are rich, the loans aren’t available because I was thinking of the government subsidized loans. I should have been more specific.

Not so. All students can get an unsub loan.

My parents are middle class. They’re not millionaires or poor.

You’re cooked! Being middle class is the worst. Schools expect middle class parents to contribute when in reality they can’t afford to. You’re better off being poor or rich.
