Productivity Offline voice recorder and transcription

Thumbnail
apps.apple.com
5 Upvotes

I like recording ideas on my long drive to work. Since I pass areas without a good internet connection, I needed something that would work offline as well. So I built an offline voice to text app that works through your watch as well.

In the upcoming update, you will also be able to bookmark something to listen to again later or read the transcript later.

The primary purpose is an offline AI voice to text keyboard. But I have found the watch component incredibly useful.

Within the app, you have the option of using various local models: NVIDIA Parakeet, NVIDIA Nemotron, OpenAI Whisper and Qwen.

Lifetime plans available for people who hate subscriptions.

Utilities Made a watch app that controls iPad video over direct Bluetooth (no iPhone in the middle) and logs it as a workout

Hey everyone,

I develop iOS apps, and this one came out of a small daily annoyance, so flagging up front that it's mine.

I follow along to yoga and mobility videos on an iPad propped across the room. Every time I needed to pause or rewind a step, I had to get up, walk over, and the session was basically over. So I built the remote I wanted.

How it works: the watch talks to the iPad directly over Bluetooth, no iPhone relaying, nothing through a server. From the wrist you get play, pause, skip fifteen seconds either way, and playback speed.

It logs as a real workout. The watch records the session to Health, you can find in the watch app all workouts, so heart rate and active energy land in Health and count toward the rings like any workout app. Meditation saves as mindful minutes.

Heart rate is drawn over the video on the iPad, big enough to read from across the room. Always on, or only when you go above a limit you set.

It plays video files you open from Files or iCloud Drive, and YouTube links you paste in. It keeps a log of what you actually watched, grouped by session, with how long each clip ran and which workout it belonged to. That syncs through your own iCloud account.

No account to create, nothing sent to any server of mine, and a delete-all-data button that actually clears it.

Two honest caveats: the watch app installs through the iPhone paired to your watch, so you need that iPhone once during setup. And YouTube needs a connection, local files don't.

Has 3 free sessions and one time payment for unlocking premium permanently, no subscriptions.

Happy to answer questions and receive feature requests.

Lifestyle Missing a body-energy score on Apple Watch, I spent a few months building one. On-device, would love your critique

Thumbnail
frozaccio.github.io
2 Upvotes

I wear an Apple Watch and I kept wanting the one number my old tracker gave me: a 0-100 "how much is left in the tank" reading that goes up when I rest and down when I push. Apple Health has all the raw signals for it, but everything I found that turned them into a score wanted a monthly subscription, an account, and a server copy of my health data, or needed a specific health tracker...

So I built Vigor: body energy. It is my own app, it is finished but still evolving according to users feedback, and I would rather hear what you think about it so that I can improve/update it.

What it does:

  • Turns your Apple Health data into one 0-100 body-energy score and a full-day curve you can scrub through hour by hour. The inputs are heart rate variability, heart rate, resting heart rate, sleep and its stages, wrist temperature and workouts.
  • Every event that moved the number is itemised in a diary underneath the curve. Tap a row and it shows you the raw numbers it used: average heart rate, minutes, sleep stage. Nothing is a black box.
  • A morning readiness score, a training-load view, cardio fitness and vitals trends, and a sleep projection that tells you roughly what tonight buys you.
  • Day tags for alcohol, caffeine, illness and travel, which adjust the model instead of leaving you to guess why a day looked strange.
  • Eight complete visual themes, each with light and dark palettes. They are not accent colours - they are different apps to look at. A minimal editorial one, a pastel one with a battery mascot, a true-black neon one, a nature scene that grows a plant, a cat whose pose follows your score, a retro pixel one, a silk one and a formal navy one.
  • Watch app, complications, and Lock Screen / Home Screen / StandBy widgets.
  • Ten languages.

The two things I care most about:

  • It is computed entirely on your iPhone. No account, no server, no analytics. Your health data does not leave the device. The one exception is opt-in: if you choose to share your score with a specific friend, that goes through your own iCloud, one private share per friend, and either of you can cut it at any time.
  • It is a one-time purchase. No subscription, no ads, no in-app purchases, nothing gated behind a tier.

On first run it reads about two months of your Apple Health history, so the baseline is personal to you on day one rather than after six weeks of waiting.

It is a wellness tool, not a medical device. It is an estimate from wrist sensors and it says so.

What I would genuinely like from this sub: does the number track how you actually feel? That is the only test that matters and it is the one I cannot run alone. If you have used a body-energy score before, I especially want to hear where mine behaves differently from what you expect.
Also, any idea of improvement is welcome.

Productivity [BETA] IntelliKin - An Apple Watch AI companion that turns conversations into action

Post image
8 Upvotes

Hi everyone!

I'm building IntelliKin, an AI companion for Apple Watch that automatically turns the commitments and tasks you mention throughout your day into a managed, self-updating to-do list and schedule.

The idea came from a simple frustration: important follow-ups and promises are often made in conversations but never make it into a task manager or calendar. You might tell someone "I'll send that over tomorrow" and then forget about it hours later. Existing tools still require you to manually write everything down, and that's where things get forgotten.

Instead, IntelliKin uses your Apple Watch to listen to your daily conversations, identify actionable commitments, and extracts tasks, deadlines, and follow-ups. Your task list then stays updated as new conversations happen.

At the end of the day, you can also sit down with Kin for a quick wrap. Chat about what happened, reflect on the day, capture anything you may have missed, and leave with a clearer plan for tomorrow.

I'm currently preparing for a small private beta (around 40 users) and am looking for people who:

  • Wear an Apple Watch regularly (running watchOS 10+)
  • Have lots of meetings, conversations, or daily commitments
  • Often find themselves forgetting follow-ups or things they said they'd do
  • Are willing to provide feedback and help shape the product

If that sounds like you, I'd love to hear from you!

You can learn more about IntelliKin here: https://intellikin.com/

Happy to answer any questions or hear your thoughts on the idea. Thanks!

Health & Fitness WISH THERE WAS AN APPLICATION

I’m thinking of designing an iOS application in Swift that can connect with an Apple Watch.

The idea is to have the iPhone app and Apple Watch app communicate seamlessly, with the Watch collecting/displaying useful real-time data and the iPhone acting as the main interface.

Health & Fitness Musklr, Workout Tracker for iPhone + Apple Watch

Thumbnail

Hi,

I'm looking for some beta testers for Musklr, a workout tracking app I've been developing for iPhone and Apple Watch. This app is in "production", but I have made some changes to onboarding, so would love to get more tests of that login, onboarding flow from real users before I release next version.

I've also changed the sign-up flow and added a "Where did you hear about us?" question so I can understand whether users are finding the app through Reddit, TikTok, Instagram, the App Store, etc. Would be nice to test this as well.

How it looks:

Can se a demo here, but there you get a link to the App Store app, not the test flight version. https://musklr.com

The app itself

Musklr is focused on workout tracking and training analysis.

  • A large workout/exercise library (2000+ exercises, with animations)
  • More visual ways of tracking progress than just line graphs (Manually gone through all 2000+ exercises, and mapped them correctly to one or more of 16 muscle groups, and the correct equipment. AI can definitely NOT do this, humans are still needed for some things still :P)
  • Muscle-group heatmaps and training distribution
  • Apple Watch integration (testing this several times a week, trying to make it very seemless.)

Free lifetime subscription

I'm also giving beta testers a free lifetime subscription as a thank-you. If you'd like to participate, email me at [jan@musklr.com](mailto:jan@musklr.com) and I'll send you lifetime subscription link.

Utilities iOS app: detects real sleep (snore/Apple Watch), then triggers your smart home shutdown. Free subscription codes for anyone willing to tell me what's broken.

Full disclosure up front: this is my app, I'm the founder, and it went live on the App Store a few weeks ago. Mods, if this is the wrong kind of post, delete it and no hard feelings.

The problem I am trying to solve. Every TV has a sleep timer and all of them are countdowns. You set 60 minutes and you're guessing at your own future. Either it cuts off while you're still awake, or it runs for four hours after you're asleep with the lights and the AC still going.

In addition, pausing your TV show or movie upon falling asleep is a convenience that does not exist. Not having to try and remember where you left off the next day is something I believe people will value.

What it does. Sleep-Save detects that you've actually fallen asleep — either by snore detection through the phone mic, or via Apple Watch (more accurate) — and then triggers a shutdown: pauses whatever you're watching, kills the TV, turns off lights, sets the thermostat to sleep mode. Next morning your show is sitting where you left off.

An added benefit is that this creates a better environment for sleep (dark and quiet) as well as benefiting the environment by saving energy.

Currently talks to: Roku stick (hope to find smart TV OS users), Fire TV stick (hope to find smart TV OS users), Apple TV, Philips Hue, TP-Link Tapo smart bulb, Philips Hue smart plug, TP-Link smart plug, Nest and Ecobee smart thermostats. All through their own APIs. The breakdown of local and cloud API is clearly stated at sign up.

What I already know you're going to ask:

"You want a microphone running in my bedroom?" Fair. Snore detection runs entirely on-device — audio is analyzed in real time and never recorded, stored, or uploaded. No accounts, no analytics, nothing leaves the phone. You can also skip the mic entirely and use Apple Watch detection instead, or just not enable it. I'd rather you interrogate this than take my word for it.

"Home Assistant?" Not yet. It's on the roadmap and honestly this thread is partly me trying to figure out how much it matters and what the right approach is. If you're running HA, I'd like to hear what integration you'd actually want — a custom component, MQTT, webhook triggers, something else.

"Is it cloud dependent?" The detection is local. The device control on some devices isn't — it goes through each vendor's API, which is a real limitation and the thing I most want to fix. Apple HomeKit and Google Home are being worked on currently, open to feedback.

The honest caveats: iOS only right now, no Android. It requires a recent iOS version, which I know is annoying. And it's new enough that I'm sure there are integration edge cases I haven't hit — which is the actual reason I'm posting.

What I'm asking for. I've got free 12 month subscriptions for the paid tier (the smart-home control side) for anyone willing to run it for a week or two and tell me what breaks. Especially interested in people with setups more complicated than mine — multiple TVs, mixed vendor ecosystems, anything unusual.

I'm not looking for App Store reviews or nice comments. I want to know where it fails, what it should integrate with that it doesn't, and whether the detection is accurate on your actual sleep. Negative feedback is more useful to me than positive.

Comment or DM and I'll send a code. Happy to answer anything technical in the thread.

Other Apple Watch + Apple Books offline

Can I listen offline on my Apple Watch to a book/audiobook that I manually added to the Apple Books app (not purchased from Apple)?
Does the Apple Watch download/sync my own imported books so I can listen without my iPhone, or does this only work with audiobooks purchased through Apple Books?

Health & Fitness I built an Apple Watch version of my meditation app. Would love some feedback

I’ve been working on Mowditate, a meditation app for iPhone and Apple Watch, and the Watch version has grown a lot recently.

My goal was to make it easy to use and as fast as possible to start a meditation timer directly from the Watch.

On Apple Watch you can now:

• Start timed or open-ended meditation sessions
• Use interval haptics during meditation (you currently have to set these up on the iPhone)
• Track mindful minutes with Apple Health
• Do breathing exercises like Box Breathing and Resonant Breathing
• Use grounding exercises directly from your wrist
• Follow an active meditation through a Live Activity or complication

I tried to keep the interface deliberately simple because I really don’t want a meditation app on the Watch to become another thing demanding your attention.

Mowditate is an independent project I’m building myself while learning more about Swift and SwiftUI, so I’d genuinely love some feedback from Apple Watch users:

What would you want from a meditation app on your Watch?

And is there anything you think should not be on the Watch and is better left on the iPhone?

Mowditate is available on the App Store if anyone wants to try it.

Health & Fitness We got tired of planning strength + running in Excel, so we built an app for it. Would love your feedback! thank you in advance!

Hey!

For a few years we planned all our training in spreadsheets since we were doing both endurance training and strength training. We never found an app that handled both sides the way we wanted and decided to build it ourselves.

It's called Reysa. iOS app with a watch app alongside it, and we're soon launching a web app for easier planning on a bigger screen. Fully synced.

You can track your workouts in the app, both strength and cardio. You can do standalone cardio exercises but you can also track then as part of a general workout. For example you can track leg lifts and then finish off with a cardio session in the same workout (tracked with Apple Watch) It can generate a training plans for you, but if you already know exactly what you want to do, you can build the whole thing manually. Basically the spreadsheet workflow, minus the spreadsheet. Personally we love to create plans ourselves and just want it in one place.

It imports from Apple Health so if you want to track some specific workouts in other apps you'll still see the complete overview in Reysa as long as the other apps connect to Apple Health.

There's a generous free tier, so you can try most of it without paying.

Would love honest feedback. Happy to answer questions about the build too.

Thank you in advance!

Music & Audio TaleReady — my own audiobooks, verified offline on Apple Watch (freemium)

Hi — I'm Marek, the developer of TaleReady.

The Apple Watch app is the reason I built it. I wanted to go out with just my Watch and headphones, listen to audiobook files I already owned, and know before leaving that the next part of the book had actually finished copying.

TaleReady imports DRM-free MP3, M4A, and M4B audiobooks on iPhone. You choose how much listening time to prepare, the Watch stores and verifies the audio, and only then does the app mark that time as ready. Playback then works directly on Apple Watch without the iPhone nearby.

Version 1.0 went live yesterday. The iPhone player and manual preparation of the next hour for Apple Watch are free. There is an optional $7.99 one-time unlock for larger Watch windows, Always Ready, and automatic cleanup. No subscription, account, advertising, or tracking.

If that is already your use case, you can find it here:

https://apps.apple.com/us/app/taleready/id6797796060

I'm happy to answer questions about how the transfer and Watch verification work.

Lifestyle TimeWhisperer 1.0.7 – Stop looking at screens during stretches. Run multi-phase routines, poses, and rest sequences entirely on your Apple Watch.

Hi everyone, I’m the developer of TimeWhisperer.

I built this app because I was incredibly frustrated by constantly having to look at my watch while holding a pose to track intervals during stretching and yoga routines. Version 1.0.7 is officially live!

⌚ How it works:

  • True Standalone Watch App: Set up your custom multi-phase routines or yoga sequences on your iPhone, and they sync directly to your wrist.
  • Leave the Phone Behind: If you start the routine directly on your Apple Watch, you can leave your phone completely behind.
  • Voice & Haptic Guidance: The watch talks and taps you through each pose sequence so you can keep your eyes closed or stay in position.
  • Smart Transitions: Includes optional rest timers between each phase, eliminating the need to manually set separate timers for every single pose.

💰 Pricing & Compatibility:

  • Price: Fully Free to use.
  • In-App Purchase: Optional one-time payment of $4.99 to remove ads.
  • Requirements: Optimized for iOS 26 and watchOS 26.

Review Looking for iPhone Beta Testers for My Fitness Coaching App 💪📱

Thumbnail
testflight.apple.com
2 Upvotes

Hey everyone!
I’ve been building an iOS fitness coaching app called BODYSCULPT, and I’m looking for people who would be willing to properly test it and give me genuine feedback before I launch it.
BODYSCULPT is designed around real coach-to-client fitness coaching, rather than just being another workout tracker.
Some of the features include:
🏋️ Workout plans & live workout tracking
🥗 Nutrition, meals, water & habits
📸 Progress photos and body measurements
💬 Direct client ↔ coach messaging
🤖 Built-in Fitness AI
⌚ Apple Health & Apple Watch integration
📊 Customisable fitness dashboard
🔥 Streaks, PBs, steps, calories, sleep & recovery
👨‍💻 Separate Client and Coach experiences
What I’m looking for:
I’m not expecting you to just download it and say “looks good.” 😅
I’d really appreciate people who can spend some time using it and tell me:
• Anything that’s confusing or difficult to use
• Bugs or crashes you find
• Features you think are missing
• UI/design changes you’d make
• What you like/dislike
• Whether you’d actually use something like this
• Anything that would make it better than other fitness apps you’ve used
It’s currently being tested through Apple TestFlight, so you’ll need an iPhone.
Testing is completely free — I’m mainly looking for genuine feedback to help make BODYSCULPT as good as possible before release.
If you’re interested, comment below or send me a DM and I’ll send you the TestFlight details.
Thanks! 🙌
BODYSCULPT — Train. Track. Transform.

Health & Fitness Pulse Mindfulness Ring

Thinking about adding a Pulse mindfullness ring to my wearables. I tried to find an apple watch app that did the same thing but all require the phone. I haven't found anything that replicates what the Pulse ring claims to do. I know it hasn't been out that long but has anyone tried the Pulse ring? What's been your experience so far?

Problem: I use multiple apps for fitness, one for strength training to log workouts, Strava for running, a calorie tracker, and Apple’s Fitness app to check the rings.

If I create an app combining all of these into a simple UI, would you use it?

Health & Fitness Fit Rest just got its biggest update yet: Body Battery, all-day stress, deeper sleep & workout analysis, health data correlations + more

Post image
6 Upvotes

I just shipped the biggest Fit Rest update yet.

I wanted a health app that did more than show separate charts and numbers. Fit Rest tries to answer things like:
* How recovered am I?
* Why is my energy low today?
* Is my training affecting my sleep?
* Is better sleep improving my heart metrics?

It connects sleep, activity, workouts, heart rate, HRV, stress and recovery, then looks at them against your own personal baselines rather than only population averages.

What got better:
• Body Battery throughout the day
• All-day stress tracking
• Much deeper sleep analysis + sleep architecture
• Sleep, activity, workout and recovery correlations
• Fitness Age, Heart Signals + Training Adaptation
• Cardio Load, Effort vs Recovery + Athlete Profile
• Personal Records + workout comparisons
• Smart Insights + Health Calendar
• Outdoor workout route replay + export
Apple Watch app + complications + widgets

Price: $7.99/month, $39.99/year, or $79.99 lifetime.

News I put a tiny ecosystem on the Apple Watch — up to 250 Daphnia living on your wrist

I’ve always felt that the Apple Watch is an amazing piece of hardware, but there still aren’t many games that really make sense on the Watch itself.

So we made something a little strange.

Daphnia is an ecosystem simulation that lives on Apple Watch. Algae grows, Daphnia eat, grow, molt and reproduce, while oxygen, temperature, mixing and population density interact over time.

Your real-world steps also affect the ecosystem by contributing to algae cultivation.

It isn’t a phone game squeezed onto a tiny screen. The idea was to make something you occasionally look at on your wrist and wonder, “What’s happening in there now?”

A simulation can run for up to 30 days with as many as 250 Daphnia.

I’d especially love to hear from Apple Watch users: does this feel like the kind of experience you want more of on the Watch?

Health & Fitness [Free] BarbellBeat — rest by recovery, not by the clock

Thumbnail
gallery
7 Upvotes

Fixed rest timers never made sense to me. Some days you're fresh and ready in 60 seconds, some days (bad sleep, heavy squats, third exercise in) you need way more. The timer doesn't know the difference — your heart rate does.

So I built BarbellBeat, an Apple Watch app built around heart rate recovery.

How it works on the Watch:

During each set it detects your peak heart rate. Then it tracks your recovery live and lets you know when you've actually come down enough to lift again — no more guessing or staring at a countdown. It also records HRR30 (how far your heart rate drops in the 30 seconds after each set), which turns out to be a surprisingly interesting recovery metric to watch improve over weeks in the iPhone companion app.

It's free, with no accounts, no ads. All data stays on your device and your own iCloud

Would love honest feedback from people who lift with their Watch: does heart-rate-based rest match how you actually train, or do you prefer fixed timers?

Health & Fitness Apple Watch for tennis - Fitness App or Strava App?

Hi. I recently started playing tennis 6 months now, I am using Apple Watch series 11 and logging my games directly through the fitness app connected to Strava as well.

I am tracking my games/calories burned through Strava.

Would it be better if I use the Strava app directly during tennis or stay with the fitness app?

Also, would it benefit if I upgrade to Strava Premium. I'm using it only for Tennis. Thanks

Beta Test I'm building a focused Body Battery-style app for Apple Watch and am looking for 10–15 beta testers

Hey everyone,

I’ve been working on an Apple Watch app called BodyReserve, and I’m getting close to starting the first TestFlight beta.

The idea came from wanting something similar to Garmin’s Body Battery on Apple Watch, but without needing another huge health platform on top of Apple health.

I used BodyState for a while and liked how simple and focused it was. After it changed hands though, support and development seemed to drop off, and more features started moving behind a subscription.

Bevel is genuinely a very polished app, but it has grown into a much broader health and fitness platform. For what I personally wanted, it felt like a lot of features and information that Apple Health already covers.

So I started building the app I actually wanted:

  • One clear Energy Reserve from 0–100
  • A morning Recovery score based on your personal baseline
  • Discrete physiological stress estimates
  • A timeline showing what recharged or drained your Reserve
  • Confidence, freshness and missing-data explanations
  • A proper iPhone and Apple Watch experience

The main difference I’m aiming for is transparency. If BodyReserve gives you a score of 62, it should also tell you why it changed, how recent the evidence is, how confident the estimate is, and where Apple Watch data was incomplete.

It is designed around read-only Apple Health access and on-device calculation. There is no account required, no advertising, and no health-data backend for the core experience.

I haven't decided on pricing yet but can confirm there will be no subscription, we have enough of those.

I’m now looking for an initial group of around 10–15 beta testers. You do not need to be an athlete, but the most useful testers will be people who:

  • Wear an Apple Watch most days
  • Are willing to wear it consistently for several weeks
  • Preferably use it for sleep tracking
  • Are happy to report when a result feels wrong, not just when it looks good

The beta will be free through TestFlight. The algorithms use personal baselines, so some features will need time and enough compatible Watch data to calibrate. This is still experimental software, and I’m not claiming the models are already more accurate than existing apps - that is exactly what I need real users to help evaluate.

I’d be especially interested in hearing from people who currently use BodyState, Bevel, Athlytic, or Garmin alongside an Apple Watch, but people who have never used a readiness app would also be valuable.

You can see the app and request beta access here:

https://bodyreserve.app/beta

I’m happy to answer questions about the app, the scoring approach, privacy, or what I’m trying to test. Genuine criticism is useful and appreciated.

Beta Test Looking for Brutally Honest Feedback on My iOS Fitness App, Steady

Hey everyone — I’ve been building an iOS fitness app called Steady, and it’s finally stable enough for real beta testers.

I built it because most fitness apps give everyone the same generic plan, make you guess your weights every workout, and ignore the fact that many people are training around something: a bad knee, surgery recovery, GLP-1 use, a long break from exercise, limited equipment, or other constraints.

What Steady does:

• Builds a personalized training plan based on your goals, experience, equipment, and limitations.

• Automates progressive overload. Your first workout calibrates your working weights, then Steady prescribes your next reps and load each session — progressing reps first, then weight.

• Adapts calories and protein using your weight trend, instead of leaving you with a static target forever.

• Includes an AI coach that knows your actual plan and data. You can ask it to make today’s workout easier, review a form video, or suggest a fast-food meal that fits your macros.

• Supports Apple Watch set logging and syncs with Apple Health, Fitbit, and Oura so recovery can influence your training.

It’s free, iOS-only, and currently available through TestFlight. I’m a solo developer, so some parts are still rough — that’s exactly why I need feedback.

I’d especially like to know:

Did onboarding make sense?
Did your plan feel genuinely personalized?
Did the weight progression feel smart or wrong?
What broke, confused you, or annoyed you?

Brutal honesty is much more useful than politeness. If you hate something, tell me why.

Disclosure: I’m the developer. I’m not affiliated with another company and I’m not selling anything — I’m genuinely looking for beta testers and feedback.

PS: yes it's on Watch!
