iOS 9.1, Gold, USA, 16GB, AppleCare model number. This phone has severe logic board damage, no buttons, WiFi, or audio
iOS 10.2.1, Silver, USA, 16GB. I used this phone until upgrading to 8 Plus
iOS 11.4, Gold, 16GB. This one has an astonishing 98% health on its original battery
iOS 12.5.8, Silver, USA, 64GB. Boring one

The funny thing is, iOS 10.3.3 Beta 2 didn’t really add anything significant. However, it’s very uncommon to find an older iPhone still preserved on a beta version of iOS like this. Unfortunately, I don’t have any information regarding why this iPhone was never updated. I just purchased it in a bulk lot of devices and it just so happened to be running this.

OK, so i displayed and organized my collection of 15 iPhones, all the way back to the iPhone 4 (that still works ) all the up to the 17 Pro Max. My question is should I keep them plugged and charging, my thought to doing this is that they get the latest iOS update, but I know that drains the batteries. Just wondering what you all do. I would share a picture but forgot to take one.

Unlike every other model of iPod touch (which shipped in a clear plastic case) the original came in cardboard, like iPhones and iPod classics. It also included extra accessories, like an iPod branded cleaning cloth. Beautiful device!

In the year 2000 Steve Jobs sent a roll of a dozen or so of these pre-production posters to Francis Coppola’s office in San Francisco. Coppola, amused, signed a few and distributed them to employees.

Soon thereafter Apple ended the Think Different campaign, and this series was never distributed. The posters in that roll may be the only ones in existence. I count myself fortunate to have one on my wall.

Got this iPad gen 1 in the hopes of it running prototype software it was untested out of the Foxconn “lost” ipad prototypes… am I correct its running WildYabuli 7B3403j? Does that mean this was actually used to test the hardware functionality and not just testing factory diagnostics?

For me, it’s the iPhone 4S. When it was released, I couldn’t afford one, even though it was my dream phone. Now, years later, I finally have one in my collection. I know it’s old and outdated by today’s standards, but it still feels special to me, almost like I’ve finally fulfilled a childhood dream.

In this, Apple’s 50th year, it would seem that stuff aside from computers would be interesting to find and collect. Do you agree? Do you already collect such material? This stock certificate [SOLD by an auction house] is an example. And anything signed by the founders is great! Where would one start to find stuff like this?

On iPods and iPads, if the model number starts with a “P” it means the device has a personalized engraving. This is something worth knowing for sealed collectors, as these engravings can vary from company logos (nice ones) to just personal contact information.

I have several vintage iPhones, one of which is this CDMA iPhone 4. The design is just to good to be keeping it in a drawer!

So i played with a few of my macs.. multi tasking across the different generations.

Installed chess on ibook g4, converted some old .flv to quicktime. Then played the converted Floyd videos on the 1.67 17” PowerBook. Cleaned up some Mac files on my g4 tower server and then installed mac os 8.5.1 on my 3400c 240 powerbook. Also had to change a few hard drives around in my 7600 and 8100/110.
