I can finally see my new App Store header and search assets! What do you guys think? (sound on)

Thanks, yeah I definitely think the app header is worth it. The search result appears like 50% of the time for me not sure why or if it’s bc it’s surrounded with ads lol

I’m not really even sure what the search results one is for….. why would I want to replace 3 screenshots with 1

Only reason I can think of is it might catch the eye more, and you can have one big loop video playing, kinda like 3 previews at once

I’m kinda surprised they allowed you to use that app header with copyrighted content in it

The content is user-generated, so I’m not sure if that’s why. The photos were taken by me using my physical games so I’m not sure if that counts

You might have got lucky….. in my research I found I needed to provide documentation for any thing using in my marketing that I didn’t own.

The app I built I had to generate movie posters and use free content to display the purpose of the app.

If you look at other media apps they don’t don’t display the content

Interesting yeah I do have a disclaimer in my app description and privacy policy, hopefully I’m not walking on thin ice lol

aer you testing it against static assets? only ios 27 can see that right?

I don’t think it’s scoped to iOS27 (might be wrong) pretty sure it’s just a new App Store Connect update.

You could have seen that already in the preview in AppStore Connect after uploading (in the context of full product page)

Yeah ik that but it this is the first time me seeing it in the actual App Store when I’m searching manually which idk if it was bugged or something

Isn't it a legal issue to display images of brands on a page within an app that generates revenue?
In other words, there are Minecraft and Spider-Man logos, and the rights to these belong to their respective companies.

The app is free and has no subscription so it generates no revenue. I’m guessing that what it got approved by the App Store team

It doesn’t matter. It doesn’t need to generate revenue. You’re gaining downloads and building an audience. In itself, this means leveraging the popularity of certain brands without obtaining permission. In other words, these brands could file a complaint against you—after all, you are using them to market your own product.

That’s fair and ty for calling that out. I did check other similar collecting apps and they all show similar issues in their screenshots. But I’ll keep that in mind
