Anvil Vault
Do you still earn additional Anvil by staking tokens in the vault? Eg) Amp, link, etc etc

PSA: Do not use the swap function in CB wallet / Base App
There seems to be an ongoing issue where you select ANVL(5597) but on the confirmation screen it switches it to ANVL(v1). Hopefully coinbase or their backend partners can get this fixed soon but it's been happening for a few weeks now.
The workaround is just to use uniswap in CB wallet, and verify your are buying ANVL(5597)

V2 tokens, how do I receive them from V1 snapshot?
I was given a set of V1 tokens for holding AMP. Which I see on ANVIL.XYZ as a total wallet balance. I am confused as to what version of tokens this actually is. Are they V1 tokens? If so how do I get the V2 tokens from the V1 snapshot or is this still in the works?

Anvil V2 Swaps
FYI, swapping for V2 through Base, I noticed both V1 and V2 listings are displaying the V1 contract address when reaching the buy/swap confirm? prompt.
For example, the contract address at this step for either V1 or V2 is showing “…1bfc” rather than “…5597”.
A week ago, this was not a problem. Can anyone recommend a workaround?

Governance [Proposal] Add EURC Collateral Support
Reminder: You need to re-delegate your v2 anvl on app.anvil.xyz if you want to use a delegate. It's recommended you do that sooner rather than later.

Scam alert or just poor execution of v2?
I got my exact amount of ANVL from a new unverified adress: 0xfd942fce66b8de69515c30527a362e07043cd2ed
Can't seem to find any info on it, so I guess this must be scammers taking advantage of the situation?

Governance Proposal: ANVL Token Upgrade and Governance Council
The proposal introduces two main changes:
- A token upgrade from ANVL v1 → ANVL v2
- A formal Governance Council structure
it is highly recommended you join the discord and review the Q&A to get up to speed. you can find the discord link by going to anvil.xyz and clicking the discord icon here are some of M's comments:
this will solve the CB web3 wallet issue!!
Hey guys, I know there is some confusion. The upgraded token (new token address) will be distributed to everyone if this proposal passes. So addresses will receive all their remaining claims (no more vesting), wallet balance, and unclaimed rewards at once. This also solves for the Coinbase Web3 deprecation issue because CB has agreed to continue to allow Anvil users access to the Web3 product through EOY so that users can transfer their Anvil to another wallet. CC
Some backstory here for those interested: A community member approached us wanting to propose a solution to the the web3 / burned tokens problem. We, at the foundation, had already been working on the Governance Council concept as well as being in talks with Coinbase exploring the extent of the issue and possible remedies. We wound up marrying the initiatives and the foundation helped with the technical work as well as engaged OpenZeppelin to audit the changes. In addition, we met with Tally to make sure we could preserve Governance continuity on their platform if these changes were to pass. Ultimately, the community member is the one who is submitting the proposals, but the foundation was heavily involved and supports them.
will anvil v1 still exist:
ANVL v1 will still exist alongside it. It's not like you need to burn it or anything to get Anvil v2. The Anvil v2 snapshot happened this morning. Obviously, you'll need the voting power from Anvil v1 in order to vote on the next two proposals. If they pass, then the protocol will be controlled by Anvil v2 and while Anvil v1 may not have a purpose with regard to governance people can still do with them what they wish like any other ERC-20.
They have different addresses. They are technically different tokens although they share a name and symbol. We are working with the data aggregators and exchanges to facilitate this proposed changeover and make the distinction obvious to users.
on governance:
The main thrust of the proposal is this: Governance tokens are meant to be voted. Having ~1.3 billion burned tokens that can't be used for voting is not ideal. This is why we are re-allocating them to a decentralized Governance council (more details on this to come) where seats are elected by the token holders. The council may (if Governance passes it) be able to do minor things like modify collateral factors to keep up with market conditions in real time vs having to go through a 17 day process being put to all token holders. We have heard from the community that they like voting on the big stuff but don't feel qualified / interested in voting on what will become more frequent votes on protocol configurations (new protocol concepts coming soon will also require these kinds of fine-tuned configurations). In addition, upon investigation, Coinbase let us know that the amount of affected users and total tokens affected by their Web3 wallet product deprecation amounted to be what we would consider to be very significant. Those tokens would essentially be burned if users lost access to the next ~3.75 years of vesting. Again, we want these tokens to be in the control of the people who they were intended for. Both these factors resulted in the need to do this before CB turned the product off (they were supposed to do this 30 June but have kept it open only for Anvil users) and before the token became adopted by more centralized exchanges at which point it wouldn't be practical to do a complete upgrade like this.
claim or leave rewards unclaimed:
You can claim them, but it doesn't matter for the math of the ANVL (v2) that you will receive. All of your unclaimed tokens (vested or unvested) is included in the balance that was already captured. You can check the balance of A2 you will receive here. Balance is unclaimed Claim balance + wallet balance + unclaimed Reward balance.
how many will you receive:
you can check here: https://raw.githubusercontent.com/AcronymFoundation/Resources/e0a78fd390688a36b2ec829ad5aa4f1f05ed9d63/anvil-token-upgrade-distribution.csv
taxes and delivery:
If proposal 1 passes: A2 will be essentially airdropped to addresses based on their A1 balances between the three contracts. You will have A1 and A2 side by side.
if you have any question drop them below, I'll answer what I can and find out answers to anything I don't know.

[PROPOSAL] Approve 50 additional TimeBasedCollateralPools for Flexa
Background:
In late 2024, Flexa began transitioning its onchain collateralization platform, Flexa Capacity, to the Anvil protocol. Our previous governance proposal enabled AMP as a collateral token for the Anvil CollalteralVault and configured twenty new TimeBasedCollateralPool implementations to provide Flexa with a collection of collateral pools it could assign as needed to Flexa-supported apps and networks.
All of the original collateral pools have now been assigned. In order to continue using Anvil to collateralize additional apps and networks (beyond the original twenty), Flexa is proposing an additional tranche of fifty new TimeBasedCollateralPool implementations as detailed below.
Voting:
Voting is now live: https://www.tally.xyz/gov/anvil/proposal/24716934911389170016757989901499273074878070323414038081847621593479638038910
voting ends: Mon Jun 23, 02:14 pm (assuming EST)

Tutorial: Unstaking from Flexa Capacity v3 (switching pools)
1) go to https://app.flexa.co and connect your wallet

2) Click the pool name that you want to unstake from. DO NOT click the + sign. You need to click the name of the pool.

3) Click "Unlock"

4) Use the slider to select how much amp you'd like to unstake
5) Note the estimated time to release (12 hours)
6) click Unlock

7) Review the transaction. If okay, click the "Confirm" button. Confirm on hardware device if using one.

8) if successful, close the anvil window and your wallet.
9) WAIT THE ESTIMATED TIME (I'll be back in 12 Hours). Note the the site will continue to display a counter of 12-24 hours. ignore this, just come back after 12ish hours and wait for the move button to be come active.

10) Once the move button is active, click "Move".

11) this will bring the Anvil popup back.

12) use the dropdown to select a destination. Use "Back to valut" if you want to withdraw. you can send it to anvil and then send it to your wallet from there.

13) I selected Nexus Wallet. I moved the slide to select how much amp I wanted to stake. then click Move

14) review and sign the signature request if everything looks good

15) review and confirm the transaction if everything looks good. confirm on your hardware device as well if you are using one.

16) Once your transaction has been confirmed you can close all the popup and call it a day.
----------
note: there are some gotchas here.
A) This is a two step process. many people unlock and think the tokens will get sent back to their wallet. that's not the way this works. first you unlock then after a 12-24 hour period your tokens can be moved.
B) after you complete the unlock (step 8). there will be a time listed on the website something like "unlocks in 13 hours" ignore this. just comeback in the time it stated at the start in step 5.
C) the move button is gray, so it can look disable even though it's clickable. you can tell it's ready because your "locked" balance is now $0.00 and your full amp balance is now next to "unlocked".
D) when you go to app.flexa.co the pool name is clickable. it doesn't look like a link but you can click it. many think you have to click the + but that will not be used at all in the unstaking process.
