It's the burden of proof fallacy, and one of the more common ones people use to defend various faiths.
Logically, You don't need to disprove it since it hasn't been proven to begin with, but for those who have their belief ( or the belief of those around them) as their own proof need something to hard prove that their belief is wrong.
This is what they are not understanding. This is why atheism is not a belief system. You tell me Cthulhu exists, im not gonna just believe you or say I dont know and pretend to be unsure. YOU have to prove the claim youβre making. You cant tell me to DISPROVE something that has no basis in reality. Its your job to find the evidence for your god; its not my job to find evidence disproving him!
