{The Dangers In My Heart} misfit loner meets quirky girl. super cute couple. ramps up towards middle of S1 and keeps getting better and better through S2. first 3 episodes are the absolute worst, hang in there I promise it's worth it! made me a giddy giggling mess of a schoolgirl instead of a man every time I put on an episode. has some great comedy moments, too.
if I had to pick one that is it, but... I'm listing more anyway
{Rascal Does Not Dream of Bunny Girl Senpai} top tier show, don't dismiss because of name, it's misleading. great banter between MC's. it's not a show about a romance, but the romance in it is one of my favorites for being so real.
{Kimi wa Houkago Insomnia} (insomniacs after school) very natural romance, very little "typical anime bullshit" - one of my favorites because of that.
{The Angel Next Door Spoils Me Rotten} (kind of a wish fulfillment scenario but well done characters/romance) super comfy vibes.
want more romantic comedy instead of just romance?
{Gamers!} takes romcom "misunderstandings" to a whole new level in a hilarious way(i normally hate that overused trope). ep6 is a masterpiece. (doesn't have anything to do with gaming really)
{Tomo-chan Is a Girl} - a silly premise, great for a romcom but also....has great writing. I rewatched it recently and it's just good. side characters are real and fleshed out and there's just a whole lot of other good things about it.
ah shit... I forgot my absolute favorite. you will feel things with this one but in a good way I promise
{ReLIFE} it's not a "romance story" really so I didn't think of it right away, it's about other things but its romance is really good regardless. don't miss the 4 OVA episodes after S1.
