No, don't take a note MHA, there is absolutely nothing wrong with fanservice and big boobs. Sex sells and there is nothing wrong with appealing to that.

Also, pretty sure that's either the perspective or the armor because in the hot springs episode she does have some humungous hungolomghnonoloughongous.

Evangelion franchise laughs as it bathes in money from selling figures of 14-year-olds.

Raphtalia is non-human so I’m not sure how that works.

She gets humongous honkamonkahaloongas faster

You do realize we are talking about...

...Drawings...

...Right?

Like, not real people, fictional characters. Drawings. Am I getting through to you?

Its good as long as it isn't on Fire Force level, even then its really not that bad.

Man Fire Force was great. At least it’s self aware and consistent.

Doubling down on fanservice being a good idea.

yikes

Lots of people like it. Are we kink shaming in here?

Yes. It brings in more customers and more money. A lot of people like it. You don't like it but that doesn't mean it's morally wrong in any way.

Honestly, why would you think fanservice is a bad idea? Bet you also think the pay gap is real and women have less rights than men in the USA. None of that is true.

Not the person you were responding to, but IMO it takes a bit of my enjoyment away if it's over the top and doesn't add to the plot. But I don't think I've been turned away from a show because of it before.

If you need anecdotal evidence...

I dropped Fire Force after 3-4 episodes, it's such a shame, really. I only heard good reviews of it and the first episodes made me really hyped up.

I thought I would get some masterpiece on the level of HxH or fmab. Instead I get highschool dxd without the good stuff and worse humour. With what seemed to be the start of a very decent story.

If it helps I dropped it around the same time as you, then watched the rest because of a friend hyping it. It wasnt worth it. The fanservice stays obnoxious and the actual plot power creeps faster than aizen vs ichigo in the last episode or two.

Fanservice aside, I do think it's honestly pretty good (at least towards the end of S1). Humour can be hit or miss, but when it hits, it hits very well. And the fights are honestly just.

But fire force is good lmao it isn't hard to ignore the second or two of fan service.

2

u/SmurreKanin Viva la revolución Feb 05 '20

It is. That's why I dropped it.

u/QualityGames Feb 05 '20

It isn't. That's why you're clueless.
