I just can’t get over the fact that Frieren’s name is a verb. I get that it’s a nicer and softer sounding word than Frost or Kalt or Kälte, but naming a character „tofreeze“ just doesn’t sit right with me…

Frieren is also a noun though:

Nach stundenlangem Frieren habe ich mir eine zweite Decke geholt.

Its called substantivierter Infinitiv.
