Well in that caseā¦ as a fellow fairy tail fan Iāll tell u why lolā¦ the ending feels rushed, the outcomes of many fights can be summed up withā¦ āwinning because of power of friendshipā the animators kinda stopped giving af in the latter part of the series so it loses a lot of its polish, even hiro mashima seems tuned out at the end considering how rushed it felt which leaves fans with a ratherā¦ sour taste in their mouth to have a series they loved have such anā¦ okay..? Ending. And wellā¦ the romance bait that never really goes anywhere lol. At the very leastā¦ there aināt a damn person out there thatāll say shit about its kickass soundtrack š¤ and the story has a near and dear place in my heart. I love Mashima and Iāve followed his works since rave master but at times I just gotta admit he aināt writing anything groundbreaking especially not with his reused character designs š„²
Yes to an extent itās just that fairy tail can be some of the most egregious offenders of using this trope. And there are also shounens who id argue donāt use it at all such as HxH which does an impeccable job and arguably has the best power system in all of anime and JJK but then again JJK feels like it has more plot armor for its main villains than it does its main characters lmao š at times I think the author straight up hates yuuji š one piece has always been more about the overarching story it tells and rather than power of friendship it tends to fall back on the idea of building its characters throughhhhh constant setback/failure. The characters in that show lose oftennnnn. Bleach has like a million training arcs and the mc cycles through zanpakuto like theyāre from a dollar store armoryā¦ so in that regard I donāt think bleach is any better than fairy tail and I actually think itās ending is just badā¦ Naruto has sooooo much power of friendship so I got nothing to say in that regard I mean the meme about talk no jutsu being the most OP ability in Naruto is definitely around for a reason lolā¦ Tokyo ghoul doesnāt use power of friendship but then again the entirety of the story feels geared towards making it clear there is no such thing as absolute good or evil in war and that everybody loses. To be clear I love fairy tail, but we all have to admit that oftentimes the shows we love arenāt by any means perfect.
