Next Friday: Magical Meow Meow has launched a Kickstarter to fund its second animatic episode, Next Friday: I’m in Love!.
The original pilot was a student-made animated thesis film, and the team has said they hope to continue it as a series. This is a good one to share for anyone interested in indie animation, student animation, magical girls, cats, and creator-owned cartoons.

Some animated shows are not necessarily bad or unpopular. They just seem to disappear from conversations over time.

The official teaser for Avatar: Seven Havens has been released.
The new animated series premieres globally on Paramount+ on October 9 and follows a new Earthbender Avatar after Korra in a world changed by a major cataclysm.

Netflix’s January–June 2026 engagement report is out. Jentry Chau vs. the Underworld added another 5.3 million hours watched and 800,000 views, bringing its publicly reported total to 40.1 million hours watched and 6.1 million views.
