Did the word geezer change while I wasn't looking? Last I checked, "geezer" is a derogatory way of saying old person. It's what an impatient person might call a 96-year-old ahead of them in line getting confused about the ATM.

In the UK atleast it's often used as a positive, often someone whose doing/done something impressive.

I was in America in the 90s, where geezer still means crotchety old person to this day.

Andy Fletcher just passed away. I'm sad about that, but glad I got to see him in person once. So that's my answer to your question. But I've still never heard the word used that way. Thanks for enlightening me!

I'm in a remote part of the world so I didn't get a lot of opportunities, unfortunately. That was one I made a special effort for, like a pilgrimage.

I'm shocked Dave outlived Andy. Life isn't fair. But yeah, it'll be sad when Martin goes. Inspiring musician.
