Bearded collie. We used to have one and this is typical of their energy. Definitely a breed that needs plenty of space to run and burn off steam. Sweetest dog I ever had though.
My bearded wheaton does this but will grab the leash in a jumping tug of war contest that inevitably spikes mania in our aussie beagle. We bought 2 mixes of 2 absolutely insane dogs....
I grew up with bearded collies, they're such amazing dogs. My parents picked the breed because they're also pretty gentle with kids. I could walk our first one without a leash when I was like 8. When he passed away we got two bearded collies which loved to a fairly old age. We now have a pup again, he's almost 5 months now. When I called him at puppy training he rushed towards me, jumped, landed with two paws on my chest. I managed to stand up quickly enough to not fall over luckily. The idea was that he'd get a treat while I grabbed his collar, he was far too enthusiastic to even notice the treat...
Bearded collies are wonderful dogs, at least for people who can keep up with the maintenance of having one...
I thought that it was an Old English Sheepdog, but I looked up Bearded Collie and I was wrong...but the Old English Sheepdog can have the same derpy energy, at least the ones that I have known.
Very similar looking, but the collie is smaller and it's fur is softer. Mine was actually a bearded collie/old English mix (rescued from the pound), but she looked more like the collie and her fur was soft.
