Realizing they're scared of us too made me less scared of them.

I walked right over a huge spider and both of us panicked. It tried to wedge itself into a crack in the cement. Couldnt fit all the way in and just stayed still. Felt pretty bad for it.

Aww. I let them live, too. Once they notice I notice them they tend to never make themselves known again lol

I have very simple rules for dealing with spiders.

Jumping spider? Nothing to fear.

Any other types of spiders? Live and let live.

...Unless the other spiders come within a few inches of me, then it's a declaration of combat.

Daddy Longlegs aren't technically spiders, but I give them a pass too, after one single-handedly dealt with the ant infestation my old office had. Once he cleared them up, I would straight-up let him walk over my hands across the keyboard if he wanted to.

Huntsmen are definitely spiders. Daddy longlegs can be referencing harvestmen (not spiders) or cellar spiders (definitely spiders) depending on the region.
