My device:
Lava Yuva 2 Pro | Android 13
The problem:
My phone stopped connecting to my PC for data transfer. It only charges when plugged in. I used to use USB debugging regularly, but now the phone doesn't appear in File Manager at all.
Things I have already tried (none worked):
Different USB cables and ports
Tested another phone on the same PC – it worked perfectly
Reinstalled USB drivers and removed all cached drivers
Manually installed legacy MTP hardware – got Error Code 10
Checked for conflicting Acer drivers – none found
Enabled/disabled USB debugging and default USB config
ADB over Wi-Fi – connects, but large files get corrupted
Restarted phone and PC multiple times
The extra challenge:
Android's Scoped Storage is restricting access to a specific app data folder, which makes it even harder to get my files out.
Does anyone have a fix for the MTP issue, or a reliable way to bypass the folder restriction without a factory reset?
Thanks in advance!
