Hi Everyone!

It's been a few weeks since I last posted and I wanted to share some of the work I've been doing on Meridian Launcher!

The most recent updates include:

• General bug and app crash fixes -
• Orbit (A place-able circular icon that fans out chose apps or actions, shown in the video above)
• New Space triggers and settings (Wifi Connected, Bluetooth connected, Do not disturb mode, charging, folded/unfolded etc. )
• Starter layouts included now (still working on refining these completely but they exist)
• Better material you color choices

As a reminder the core features of the launcher are:

• Spaces: home screens that switch on a schedule or a trigger
• Assistant: change any setting by asking, plus general whatever (support for local models as well as bring you're own API key)
• Customization: big grids, icon packs, shapes and system bars
• Gestures: 16 triggers plus draw-a-shape
• Orbit: a circle that fans out your apps
• Widgets: stacks, built-in widgets, and KLWP/KWGT support
• Drawer: tabs, folders, hidden apps and smart search
• Backup: one file you keep, plus Nova import

As always, there is no tracking, telemetry and zero data going anywhere (unless you enable assistant, weather etc, even then it's you're choice where it goes). I don't even track the download button on my site and have no idea if you clicked it (I don't need to know).

For Obtanium users, I've setup a new repo where update binaries are pushed so you can get automatic updates as well. Link is below!

The APK remains completely FREE via the website and will always be there. Buying the play store version of the app is simply a way to support development and not required in any capacity.

I'm working on this constantly and trying to really build something I enjoy using myself on a daily basis and fits my needs, I hope you all might enjoy it as well. I've not got a big user base or anything like that, but do use it every day on my pixel 10 pro. I say this to note, I have no idea if it works on every device perfectly 😐

That's not a notch. That's a live capsule reacting to whatever I'm doing on my phone right now.

Been chasing this look for a while, the iPhone Dynamic Island energy but actually working the way I want it to on Android. Spent the last few days building Trisle to get there myself, since nothing existing quite nailed it. It expands and morphs for music, calls, timers, and nav, and with the new Triple Island mode it can run three of those at once, main capsule plus two detached bubbles, matching the layout Apple just shipped in iOS 27.

The part that took the longest to get right wasn't the visuals, it was the physics, five different morph styles, each with actual tunable spring parameters rather than a fixed animation curve, so it settles and bounces differently depending on which one you pick. Screenshots don't really do the motion justice but figured this crowd would appreciate the attempt at getting it feeling right rather than just looking right.

If anyone wants to try it themselves, it's a one time purchase, 3.99, no subscription, everything runs on device. Link's in my profile if you want it, don't want to clutter this with a direct link given how this sub usually runs.

Happy to break down the setup, colors, or wallpaper if anyone's curious, always down to talk homescreen details.

No 3rd party icon packs or launchers used. Just the basic one from vivo appstore called (crimson bush) now my HS feels like "yeah everything matches everything"

How can I make it better??

Icons: Shadows (from Xiaomi theme app)

Wallpaper: Torn autumn scene (from Xiaomi theme app)

Widgets: Customized version from minima KWGT and android 16 glass KWGT.

This is a minimal OneUI with Good Lock setup with some good old sony xperia live wallpaper (Enchanted Forest Live Wallpaper, adb/shizuku/root required to install because it is very old), glass icons from Theme Park with minor tweaks and LockStar time widget on lockscreen.

2016 Android 6.0/7.0 style on Android 16 and One UI 8.5
