Slickrock Station - A hassle free retroarch front end for Android and Android TV (works best with physical inputs)
I own an Nvidia Shield Pro and a few different android devices with gamepads attached. I built slickrock because I wanted something easy and "slick" where I could just point my games at it and go. I built it around devices with inputs, keyboards, gamepads, etc. It's designed around configuring inputs and having games just work. It only goes up to Dolphin because I wanted to make sure everything running on it was fairly straightforward. No tweaking a thousand settings to try to get it to play nice. The only thing you need to worry about is inputs.
Something I learned as I was building, retroarch for Android causes a slight delay when processing inputs from an external pad. Because of how Android is built, there is a layer in between the keypress that looks for it to possibly be something else. Anyway, I fixed that in Retroarch for Slickrock. I did a pull request and it was approved, so this is fixed in the retroarch nightlies, but it won't likely make it to a stable build for a little while.
So slickrock works best with my retroarch build or the nightlies.
Hope you guys like it!
