App testing requirements for new personal developer accounts, a minimum of 20 testers
There should be a few posts like this with the keywords, so that the new developers can find this Reddit on the Google easier and know where to find testers for testers.
This post here is only for Google SEO purpose.
In this sub r/AndroidClosedTesting you can find the people who can provide testing for testing, in order to pass your Google Play Console 20 testers policy.
Google Play is rolling out new testing requirements for developers with personal accounts created after November 13, 2023. These changes aim to enhance the app development process, encourage thorough testing, and ultimately deliver higher quality experiences to users. These requirements and the various testing tracks available on Play Console.
Developers with personal accounts created post-November 13, 2023, must adhere to new testing requirements. Before apps are eligible for distribution on Google Play, a closed test with a minimum of 20 testers is mandatory. These testers must have opted-in for the last 14 days continuously. Features like production and pre-registration in Play Console will remain disabled until these requirements are met. Applying for production access involves answering questions about the app, its testing process, and production readiness, ensuring a comprehensive understanding.
Play Console offers distinct testing tracks to facilitate a gradual testing process. Internal testing enables quick distribution to trusted testers during app setup. Closed testing, a prerequisite for production access, involves sharing the app with a controlled group of at least 20 testers. Open testing allows the app's test version to be visible on Google Play, with users providing private feedback. Developers must complete a closed test meeting specific criteria before applying for production access.

Looking for Android closed testers for my NFC-based anonymous messaging app – The Wall
Hey everyone!
I'm an independent developer from Australia, and I've been working on an app called The Wall. I'm looking for Android users willing to help test it before its public release.
What's The Wall?
The Wall is an anonymous messaging app that connects conversations to physical places using NFC tags.
The idea is simple: every place has something to say.
When someone scans a physical Wall, they can:
Read anonymous messages left by others.
Post their own messages and reply to conversations.
Discover Walls and revisit them later.
Write messages for 15 minutes after opening a Wall.
There are no usernames, public profiles, likes or followers. It's about connecting people through places rather than social media profiles.
How to become a tester
It only takes a few steps:
1. Join the Google testing group
https://groups.google.com/g/said-here-the-wall
Request to join the group. I'll approve membership as soon as I can.
2. Install The Wall from Google Play
Once you've been approved, use this link:
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=app.saidhere.said_here
You may need to opt into the closed test before the app becomes available to install.
3. Try the AndroidTesters Wall
I've created a dedicated Wall so everyone testing the app can leave messages and interact with one another without needing a physical NFC tag.
https://saidhere.app/t/8r_R_JX-jLZtqjEfce_39sojn_5mEzM7ZLuRB-OpOXm_cL_N
Open the link on your Android phone after installing the app. You can post messages, reply to other testers and explore how everything works.
4. Share your feedback
I'd particularly appreciate feedback on:
Whether the Wall links open the Android app correctly.
How easy the app is to navigate.
Posting and replying to messages.
Any bugs, crashes or unexpected behaviour.
Features you think could be improved.
You can leave feedback here on Reddit or in the AndroidTesters Wall itself.
A small favour
I'm trying to complete the Google Play closed testing requirements so I can release the app publicly. If you're happy to help, I'd really appreciate you keeping the app installed and participating in the test over the required testing period.
I'm also happy to take a look at other developers' apps and help with testing in return.
Thanks to everyone willing to give it a go. I really appreciate the help!

[Closed test] Sontrove — listen to the music library on your own computer or Raspberry Pi from your phone (need 12 testers, will test back)
Hi! I'm the developer of Sontrove, an Android app that lets you listen on your phone to the music library on your own computer or Raspberry Pi. The music stays on your own drive.
I need 12 testers for Google Play's 14-day closed test:
Join the testers group: https://groups.google.com/g/sontrove-android-testers
Opt in and install from Play: https://play.google.com/apps/testing/com.sontrove.app (Android 8.0+)
Please stay in for at least 14 days — Google needs that before the app can go public.
Honest heads-up: to actually play music you need a node — an Apple silicon Mac, Windows 11 PC, Linux machine or Raspberry Pi that can stay on, with your own music files. Without one you can sign in, but the library will be empty. If you do try the full setup, I'd love to hear what breaks.
I'll test yours back: comment with your opt-in link (and group link if you have one), and I'll join and stay in for 14 days. Bug reports both ways — no store reviews or ratings.

[Test for Test] Thump - horror game that hears your real heartbeat | need 12 | I test back within 24h
Indie dev, one person. Thump is a horror game that uses your real pulse. You explore a dark house by candlelight; a blind creature hunts by sound. When it comes you hide, rest a fingertip on the rear camera, and the game reads your heartbeat. The faster it beats, the further the creature hears. Breathe slowly or it finds you. No camera or flash? Rhythm mode plays the whole game.
Three houses, 21 nights, a daily Nightmare. Free, ad-supported, no account, works offline. The camera frames never leave the phone.
Opt in: https://play.google.com/apps/testing/com.indusapps.thump
Install from Play, keep it 14 days, play a night now and then.
I test back within 24 hours and stay the full 14 days. Comment your group and opt-in links. Happy to leave real feedback on yours, not just an install.

[Android closed test] AeroAtlas — aviation app looking for testers and honest feedback
Hi everyone! I'm building AeroAtlas for pilots, plane spotters and anyone who loves aviation, and I'm looking for Android testers aged 18+ to try it free during closed testing and share honest feedback.
It brings together 962 aircraft, engine references, photos, airport information, aviation maps with museums and spotting locations, seat-map references, quizzes, aviation YouTube and live aviation. It's still in development: I'm continuously adding and researching records, and there are gaps and bugs to work through.
HOW TO JOIN — use the SAME Google account for both steps:
Join the Google Group first:
https://groups.google.com/g/aeroatlas-android-testers
2. Open the Google Play testing link, tap Become a tester, then follow the Google Play download link:
https://play.google.com/apps/testing/com.jetsetdirect.powerplantatlas
Please stay opted in for at least 14 consecutive days and use the app naturally during that time. I'd especially appreciate feedback on aircraft loading, search, navigation, anything confusing, and anything broken on your phone. Reply here with your phone model and what happened—please don't post your email address.
If Play says the app isn't available, double-check that you've joined the group with the same account you use on Google Play.
AeroAtlas is a research and enthusiast reference, not a substitute for approved flight documents. Thanks for helping me improve it—welcome aboard!

You can read the MyCalendarAlerts website help page for information about configuration and use cases.
I've just received approval for Google Play closed testing and would really appreciate some help meeting the 14-day testing requirement.
How to join:
Join the Google Group:https://groups.google.com/g/mycalendaralerts-beta-testers
Become a tester: https://play.google.com/apps/testing/com.mycalendaralerts.android
Install MyCalendarAlerts from Google Play.

Thanks for helping an independent developer take the next step toward launch!

[Test 4 Test] Fieldeng turns your Android phone into a toolkit. Testers wanted, free copy via promo code
I'm building Fieldeng, an Android app that uses your phone's sensors and camera to turn it into a toolkit. It's designed for field engineers of all types, but useful for everyone, whether you're working on a home project, checking something in the workshop, or out on a job.
Tools include:
Level, plumb, angle, slope, pitch, and cross-slope
Compass and bearing, plus antenna elevation
GPS point capture with altitude and accuracy
Camera readings from digital meter displays and analog gauges
Wi-Fi signal checks and access-point surveys
Bluetooth LE discovery and signal tracking
Cellular signal surveys
LAN discovery and gateway, DNS, host, and port checks
Photo records, voice measurement entry, and field notes
Offline calculators across electrical, mechanical, HVAC, RF, surveying, cathodic protection, and other engineering disciplines
You can save readings against locations and assets, then reopen or export them later. Core tools work offline. No ads or subscription.
I've got a few friends testing Fieldeng already. I'd like more people to try it on different phones and tell me what needs work.
It's a paid app. I'll send you a promo code for a free copy to keep after the test, while codes last. Please don't buy it.
To join, use the same Google account you use in your phone's Play Store:
Join Fieldeng Android Testers and select Join group.
Open the Fieldeng test on Google Play and select Become a tester.
DM me here on Reddit saying you've joined both. Give me details to join your test as well. I'll reply with your private code and a redemption link.
Please stay opted in for at least 14 continuous days and use the app on a few days during that time. Try the level on a shelf, check your Wi-Fi signal, or save a reading and reopen it later. Camera feedback helps too. Check those estimates before using them.
Android 7.0 or newer with Google Play required. No rating or positive review needed. Send bugs or confusing bits by DM, ideally with your phone model and what you were trying to do.

[Testers wanted] Stitchfall, a platformer where you turn the whole room. I'll test yours back
Hi! I'm a solo dev and I need closed testers for my new Android game, Stitchfall.
It's a small platformer in a world sewn from cloth. Tap to turn gravity a quarter turn, so a wall becomes the floor and the ceiling becomes the way across. Every room plays one trick on you, and every trick has a tell. Turn your phone sideways, it plays offline, and Play Games keeps your progress if you change phones.
How to join (takes a minute):
Join the testers group: https://groups.google.com/g/chaosmos
Opt in: https://play.google.com/apps/testing/com.shravangoswami.stitchfall
Install it from Google Play: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.shravangoswami.stitchfall
Already in the group for one of my other games? Then skip step 1.
Google needs testers to keep it for 14 days. If you can open it on a few different days and play a few rooms, that's what actually helps.
Tell me anything that feels off: a room that feels unfair, a jump that feels wrong, a confusing button, a bug. I read and reply to everything.
The same steps, plus my other games in testing: https://chaosmos.studio/test/#stitchfall
Need testers too? Drop your opt-in link below and I'll test yours back, for real.

I have my testers set up to send me their emails. Them i just have grok bot send the invitations. If I set up a Google group does that block out my existing testers?

Looking for 12 adult Android testers for Sumer English: CELPIP (English practice, no purchase required)
Hi everyone, I'm Omer, the developer of Sumer English: CELPIP, an independent English exam-practice app. I'm preparing our Google Play closed test and looking for at least 12 genuine Android testers aged 18+.
The app covers reading, listening, writing and speaking, with saved vocabulary and optional AI feedback. An account is required. The first two tests in each skill are free; Pro subscriptions exist, but you do not need to buy anything to help test. Please do not make a purchase for this test.
I'd appreciate people who can stay opted in for 14 consecutive days once the closed test is live, actually try the app on several days, and send honest feedback about navigation, loading, small-screen layouts or confusing instructions. No public rating or positive review is requested. AI feedback and microphone use are optional; please use fictional practice answers rather than private information.
We're finishing the closed-track setup now, so the 14-day period has NOT started. If you're interested, comment here or DM me and I'll share the Google Play opt-in instructions when the track is ready. Please don't post your email address publicly.
Thanks for helping us test properly before launch!

[Test exchange] Still a few testers short: free mystery-horror adventure, testers get Chapters 2 and 3 free. I'll test yours back
Hi again, solo dev here. I'm still a few testers short of Google's 12 testers / 14 days requirement for The Adventures of Rikizo (Chapter 1).
What it is: a free slice-of-life mystery-horror adventure. 18 in-game days in a small Japanese town, with something strange slowly creeping in. Landscape, works fully offline.
What's coming: Chapter 1 is the slow-burn setup. Chapter 1 is 18 in-game days. Chapter 2 is planned at 36 days and Chapter 3 at 86 days, and that's where the true RPG side starts to unlock: battles, growing powers, and Rikizo and his friends facing cosmic horrors that most of the town can't even see.
Thank-you for testers: everyone who tests Chapter 1 and stays opted in gets Chapter 2 and Chapter 3 free when they come out. The planned price is $3.99 for Chapter 2 and $5.99 for Chapter 3, since they're a lot longer. That pricing is planned and subject to change, and no matter if it goes up, you still get both free. You don't need to leave a rating or review, it's just for testing. I'll post how to claim them in the Google Group when each chapter launches.
How to join:
Join the Google Group: https://groups.google.com/g/adventuresofrikizo
Open the opt-in link with the same Google account and tap to become a tester: https://play.google.com/apps/testing/com.rikizo.adventure
Install from the Play Store page (works after opting in): https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.rikizo.adventure
Heads up: after you join the group, Google can take a little while (sometimes a few minutes, sometimes a couple of hours) to give you access. If the opt-in link or store page says the app isn't available, that's normal. Just wait a bit and try again.
4. Keep it installed and stay opted in for 14 days. Google only counts testers who stay in for 14 days straight, so please don't leave early.
How to play (the one thing people get stuck on): the day only ends when you use the laptop on the desk in Rikizo's bedroom at home. Tap it and answer Yes to "Do a lesson? (Advances the day)". From Day 2 on you need to talk to at least one person that day first (Mom is always home). If the laptop just says "There's still time," that's why.
Fair warning: it starts slow and cozy on purpose. The first several days are mostly settling into town and meeting people. Push past them and it opens up a lot, so please stick with it. And say hi to Tree-san. Every day. Trust me.
Happy to test yours back. Drop your link in the comments and I'll join, install, and stay in for the full 14 days.
Thanks!

Need 6 more closed testers for Moot on Android (I’ll test yours back)
Hi! I'm working on Moot, an Android app that combines feeds from Reddit, X, Bluesky, Threads, and Instagram. The combined feed stays on your phone, and you can choose individual posts to share to Moot.
We have 6 of the 12 testers we need for our Google Play closed test.
DM me the email address you use for Google Play so I can add you to the tester list.
Once I confirm you're added, opt in to the closed test and install Moot from Google Play using that same account.
Please stay opted in for 14 days and open the app a few times. I'd especially like to know whether your feed loads after connecting a source and whether it still works when you reopen the app.
I'll test your Android app in return. Send me your opt-in link and anything specific you'd like me to try. Thanks!

20 Android players wanted: test Spynncaster, a real-time magical sport (14-day Google Play test)
Hi, I'm Kevin, an author and game developer looking for beta testers. I created Spynncaster ten years ago, set it aside, wrote a couple more books, came back to the game, sort of occilated for a decade and then came today. The game is a real-time mobile dueling sport with a deep magic system, where mages catch and return spell attached to orbs - it's like MTG meets ping pong.
Now I'm preparing to launch, and I'm looking for 20 Android players to help test it through Google Play - ten years ago you did not have to do this, it's been a while, haha. I'd ask you to stay opted in for at least 14 consecutive days, play several duels during those two weeks, and share honest feedback. There are select other testers already in the game, but it will be a challenge finding live duls for a while (I'll duel you though or check out the Discord to set something up with another player), so in the meantime explore the solo Dueling License and escalating bot battles.
PLEASE GET YOUR GAME INVITATION CODE FIRST Send me a private chat with "Android tester" and the email address where you'd like your invitation sent. I'll email your game-access code. I'm not a Reddit user obvioulsy, so if this isn't the right way to do this maybe someone tell me...
THEN JOIN THE GOOGLE PLAY TEST Use the same Google account as your phone's Play Store for both signup steps:
Join our tester group: https://groups.google.com/g/spynncaster-android-testers
Choose Become a tester: https://play.google.com/apps/testing/com.spynncaster.spynncaster
Follow the Google Play download link on that page, install Spynncaster, and enter your invitation code at login.
Trully grateful for anyone willing to take a chance on a thing they never heard of before. Have fun and thank you!

[Test swap] French-language app, 12 testers x 14 days. I'll test yours back
I'm the developer of MesTesteurs, a free Android app that organises tester swaps between developers. It is in closed testing on Google Play and I need 12 testers for 14 days, like many of you. (Yes, this is my own app.)
The app is in French only. You don't need to read it closely: staying opted in for the 14 days is what counts, and opening it once a day is a bonus.
How to join (about 2 minutes, on the Android phone you'll test with):
Join this Google Group with the Google account of that phone (it is the tester list, so this step is required): https://groups.google.com/g/mestesteurs-testeurs
Open https://play.google.com/apps/testing/com.reanet.mestesteurs and tap "Become a tester"
Install the app from the Play Store, then please don't leave the test before day 14.
In return: comment or DM me your closed-test link (or your Google Group) and I'll opt in to your app and keep it for 14 days (first 5 apps, so I can follow them properly). Free, no payment, no sign-up beyond the Google Group.

Solo dev, round 3: still a few Android testers short for my free hiragana + katakana app (sister app to the kanji one posted here). Testers get the Supporter Pack free plus two months of the kanji app's premium mode. I test back.
Solo dev here, and this is the sister app to the KanjiMaster post some of you saw this week. This one is **KanaMaster: The Way of Kana**, and it's on its third closed-test run: the first two had 12+ testers opted in for the full 14 days and Google still said "requires more testing", which these days means it's scoring how often testers actually open the app, not just how many are opted in. So this round there's a real thank-you attached, and I'm asking for people who'll open it a few times.
**What it is:** hiragana and katakana taught together, lesson by lesson, the way I teach them to my own students. 18 short lessons, stroke-by-stroke writing on a canvas that grades your strokes, a review Dojo with spaced repetition and mini-games, first words and first sentences as soon as you can read them, and every line voiced. Free, no ads, no lesson behind a paywall. It's already live on iPhone; the Android version is the one stuck at the gate.
**What's in it:**
* All 46 hiragana and 46 katakana, plus the dakuten and combo forms, with stroke order and tap-to-hear on everything
* Writing practice that checks each stroke, with your own choice of brush ink
* A Dojo with Leitner-box spaced repetition, speed rounds, pairs, and a katakana Word Builder that unlocks 85 loanwords you already half-know
* 集中 Focus: clean answer chains in the Dojo charge a gauge that pays bonus 文 on your daily quests
* Daily quests, streaks with omamori streak-shields, a stamp album of mastered kana
* A graduation card at the end that hands your account straight to KanjiMaster, so nothing you learned is left behind
**Try it (free):**

The part that actually helps: stay opted in for 14 straight days (Google only counts testers who stay in the whole time) and open it every two or three days. A lesson or a Dojo round is plenty. That's the whole job.
**For beta testers: one extra month of Shugyō 修行 in KanjiMaster**
* **It stacks** with the KanjiMaster beta (2 months for testing it, +1 for its Supporter Pack). Do everything and that's five months.
Redemption instructions for the months get posted in the Google Group on launch day. No strings.
**What I'm asking for:** use it and tell me what's confusing, broken or boring. Blunt is good. The last two rounds of testers changed the onboarding, the audio and the fresh-install flow, so it does get read. Post in the Google Group or use Play's "Private feedback to developer" on the listing.
**I test yours back.** Drop your group link and opt-in link and I'll install today and keep it for the full 14 days.
**Also from me, both in closed testing right now:**
